Here is a link to an auction currently underway on ebay, it concerns a tarot deck from Anne Le Dantec, it appears to be a deck featuring images from modern Marseilles, rather than a new edition of the old woodcut deck:

I like the look of the deck, myself, it has a strong playing card look to it, and there is a sailor as well, always something to interest me, being an ex-sailor myself.

Interesting decks indeed.
The first, mentioned by Le_Corsair, seems to be a rendition of a 'gaming' Tarot - why they call it 'Marseilles' seems more confusing than the type of deck we could reasonably expect, in my opinion, under this title. Still, if one plays the game, it seems like quite a nice deck to have.
The second link, given by SilverLotus, is to a non-Tarot deck, consisting of minor Arcana only.

Ah, you are right. I suck! :P I did a search for the name given, and I turned up the playing card deck instead. My mistake. :( Either way, her artwork is very interesting.
As for why it is called Marseilles, in the playing card version (which is done by the same artist, from what I can tell), Marseilles is all over the place. It's the name on the little boat, it's on a sign by houses on the back of the cards, it's on the joker. Perhaps Ms. Le Dentac lives in Marseilles, or is inspired by it? The city, not the deck.
And to make up for my other bad link. Here's one to a couple of pictures from her tarot deck (not her playing card deck)

... but what an interesting find! So thankyou for the links.
For what it's worth, your last link gives its full title as:Tarot of life at Marseilles hence, presumably, all those characters, which one may consider characteristic of the city of Marseilles.
Personally, I enjoyed going to those links :)

You're right Le_Corsair... this is certainly not your run of the mill Tarot of Marseilles. Very different images from the norm. It sure is interesting. All these threads and all the excitment on these Marseilles decks... it sure is making me rethink that deck for myself...
