Hello,
A friend gave me a deck/ book set called "The Secret Tarot: renaissance symbols of science, magic, and myth" by Jane Lyle. The artwork on the cards is by Helen Jones. It says it was originally published as The Renaissance Tarot, but I've seen a deck called that which is totally different. In any case, does anyone know the deck I'm talking about? It's still new to me, but I'm really liking it so far. I'd love to hear other opinions.

Hi Nina,
I have had this deck/book set for ages. I thought it was neat looking because the images have quite a bit of depth and they are different from any other deck I have in style. I have not used the deck in a very long time but it is one that I plan to keep within the collection. Hope you enjoy it!

Hi Nina,
There are several decks with the same or very similar names. It is always a good idea to also list the author/artist’s name when referring to a deck to avoid confusion. The Renaissance Tarot deck you saw was probably the one by Brian Williams and it is very different from the Secret Tarot. But, the Secret Tarot was at one time published under the name Renaissance Tarot. It gets confusing! There is a lot of good symbolism in the Secret Tarot. Enjoy!
