I'm looking for a reproduced, i.e. *not* enhanced/redrawn/restored etc Marseille deck, to compare with my Fournier and my (hopefully soon-to-arrive) Camoin.
The Conver looks like a good candidate, but there seem to be 3 versions available and I can't make up my mind about which one to get.
The LoScarabeo is by far the cheapest, but the colours don't look very nice.
The Heron and the Camoin edition of the Conver are similar in price, and from the scans I've seen also don't differ much in colour. I don't know if the backs are the same.
I'm looking for some advice from the experts here..... ;)
Are there any differences between these 3 editions that might help me make up my mind?

you're now a Marseilles addict, Hedera! I have to admit that my Fournier is so nice I'm contemplating the Camoin....and maybe the Hadar........and......
(Bob at this point was forcibly restrained from continuing.)

I have the Heron. It is lovely, with a soft gold and yellow "arabesque" pattern on the back. It seems to be the standard.
My complaint is the lamination - that it exists at all! - good on new cards, but on reproductions of old cards it distances one from the art. Makes it look as if it is seen through glass. But that may be unavoidable - they are museum pieces, after all. The Bibliothèque Nationale stamp is reproduced on the cards.
I haven't seen the Camoin reproduction up close - I understand, however, that they colour it according to the Marteau 4 colour scheme, not the original 6 or 8 colours (why, I don't know, since they are sticklers for accuracy.)

I would also like to get the Heron edition. The LoScarabeo one I don't like very much....
But that doesn't mean I'll like the others any better.
I think I should just buy every single Marseille deck that exists. That would probably be the best solution.
*Diana looks at her bank account and shakes her head sadly*.
*Then she looks at her faithful, grubby old Grimaud and smiles*.

Kaz, Tarotgarden sells the Heron edition.
They sent me a scan of that one and the LoScarabeo one side by side and it really looks a whole lot better.
As for the Hadar: It would be great if you could send me some scans, thank you so much! :)
Maybe a scan of the Moon, the Fool, and one of the pips (not an ace: aces tend to look good anyway! ;) )?
You could just send them to my tarotforum address.
