What is your opinion of this deck?
Would you consider it as "dark" as the cards look rather raw, sometimes even gloomy?
Do you think it is a reading deck or more for collection?

I have read with it, but on the whole I'd say, for me at any rate, it's more "one for the pretties shelf". Under certain circumstances, it is an interesting reading deck, and it can be good for "exhibition" readings, but it doesn't have enough depth... or variation in shading... or something... The readings I get from it tend to lack a certain dunno what.
I don't think it's as dark as it looks, no. I really like the extended-play version, I must say. I've had, for many years, the Majors-Only version of the deck, and it was always one of my favourites for just playing around. I like how the mood of the deck has been carried through.
One of my favourite collector decks, but I wouldn't choose it for in-depth work.

Thanks for your feed-back CompassRose and merry meet (I haven't been here for a long time).

I think the art is not dark as much as it is raw. Like the origins of existance....the dawn of ? whatever....
There is nothing gloomy about it. Working with it, it's a deck determined to get it's point across.
