Have you ever had a deck that just sat around for a while, then suddenly called out to you??
Well--
I've had the Etruscan for about as long as it's been out. When I first got it, I went through it a few times. Then put it away-- it didn't quite click with me at the time. In fact, I offered it up for trade a few times.
About a week ago, for no reason at all (ha!!!) I took it out and started shuffling it. It fit real well in my hands and glided along beautifully. I found the process of shuffling this deck took me right into a meditation state...
The next day I decided to try reading with it. I started shuffling, framing my question... As I shuffled, two cards popped out-- absolutely the answer to my questioning.
This has continued. I shuffle, frame a question and cards pop out of the deck. Not all at once-- usually singles and pairs, and as many as seven. Then I'll get a little jolt that tells me the reading is ready and I stop the shuffling.
It's been dead on every time.
Shuffling without questions still drops me into a state of meditation. It's a deeper and more peaceful state than I've attained by any other method.
Anyone else have any similar experiences??
fly well

I've been working on warming up to this particular deck. I have been getting into the mythology and culture of the ancient world quite a but lately (college classes, cheesey 70's movies, literature, even food). It's taking me time to get used to the style of the deck, but I think it will come in time. n the beginning I was miffed about not having any divinatory insights in the LWB, just a description of te scene. I'm sure I will get over this minor point when I build familiartity.

This is one I've had my eye on for a while. I don't own it but it has been calling to me. I look at the scans and say "eh". It doesn't look like anything I'd particularly like but I have a tough time shaking it.
I've got 13 decks and I don't need anymore.
I keep telling myself that.

You can never have enough decks.
