How Do you know the name of a deck?

I'm new to the tarot and I was reading these post, some are VERY helpful. I know there are many different decks.. and I was wondering what deck I was using, so i looked but there is no name or anything, Do you go by the name of the illustrator or the author of the book that comes with the deck? I know this may be pretty stupid to some of you.. but I would really like to know.

It's true, you know -- if you don't have the box the deck came in, or a book featuring that deck, how *would* you know what deck it was? It's not as though the name is printed on the back of every card. We all sorta take knowledge of deck names as a given around here... Well, let's see - you could post a scan or two on a website or webhosting service, and we could all go see it. Someone will easily be able to identify it. You could send a scan to someone in a position to know, such as someone you might know at a metaphysical bookstore. You could search through the database here at Aeclectic until you spot it. (It's pretty much got to be there someplace!) Or just describe it, and let us all guess!

Hi judgmentXX, welcome! ;) Have you tried looking at the Tarot Deck list here on Aeclectic? It's a very long list ;), but maybe your deck is listed there.

if you describe the deck to us, be sure to describe the back as well. often the back is the giveaway.

I saw in your profile that your deck is by Emma Garner and Liz Dean, so I guess it's the Art of Tarot deck. Here are some pictures. Is that the one?
