I am so excited. I have wanted this deck since I saw it on Aeclectic a few weeks ago. I just looked thru it once but I think its very beautiful and compelling.... I also have Ramses the Eternity on order Blessings, wolfen

Congratulations, Wolfen! The DaVinci does look wonderful and I suspect I'm going to have to add it to my collection at some point - the Ramses too.
Do keep us posted on how you get on with these decks.

A beautiful deck. It's not too melancholy if you think of it as being perhaps a sketchbook for masterpieces about to be completed. I like the idea of looking into some master studies...
Hope you have fun with it or good readings.

I have also ordered the Da Vinci for my collection. When I saw it the first time, I was not so fond of it but on a closer inspection I found something that clicked with me.

I am still waiting for Amazon to acknowledge that the deck has been published, as well at the Tarot of New Vision. I have tried writing to them, but I get canned responses. I have seen both deck on the shelf of my local Borders book store, and Borders online uses Amazon!!!
I think I may need to bug Riccardo M. again, but I know he's a busy man. I just hate that Amazon will not do any work to realize that these decks are, in fact, released. I wrote them back to ask for a HUMAN response, but they have decided to ignore me.
Yeah, I know, folks... Pay the money and deal with the small companies... I am such a cheapskate..:P

They've got it and have mailed mine though it is literally on a slow boat to China. They are responsive and very nice to boot.
(I could have paid more to get it sooner but I can wait).

I just got mine yesterday. The cards have more of a verdigris colour to them than online scans suggest, which I was thrilled with.
Interestingly, the lady on the Empress card is discussed in The Encyclopedia of Tarot Volume II, and added much to my enjoyment of the card.
I was very disappointed with the LWB. There are no art references or references to the portraits of people used at all. Some of them of course are instantly recognizable, but many are not.
It was a multiple language booklet with very scanty information. I was interested in buying the Bruegel Tarot which is coming out, but if this is the best Lo Scarabeo can do with the LWBs for art decks, it's not appealing, and I don't have the resources to look information like this up. Very frustrating and short-sighted of LS.
I thought that with the wonderful book that came with the Fey tarot, LS had decided to improve the inadequate information packaged with their decks but it seems they are regressing again.

Freesiaskye, I too thought the LWB was useless. I recognized several of the paintings, but others I don't know at all. One thing I am amazed about is the consistancy of style between the two different artists. It is a very beautiful deck to look at although I have not tried reading with it yet. Blessings, wolfen

I'm on vacation now but I just got the Da Vinci right before flying out. It is very nice but I like the majors much more than the minors. There is a seam in this work and -- though it is excellent job -- I can still feel it. I'm going to use this deck as a majors-only reading deck since I find the art for the minors distracting.
I guess I should have bought the original deck of 22 cards only.
