Is anyone using this deck?
I purchased it recently and it has been one of the clearest decks I've ever read with. i am wondering what others who have had it for awhile think.

Nothing wrong with the art or writing, and I believe TarotPassages.com has a beautiful review.
It's a great emotional connection deck, reminds me of Glastonbury or the newer Willow Arlena/Jasmin Lee Cori's Tarot of Transformation. I gave or traded away most of my 'emotional' connection decks--my connection to the Thoth or Via in the feeling category is just stronger.
I could see it being also someone's deck for psychological understanding. I'm not certain why, but I just tend to favor European art decks, perhaps because the art feels different.
I also think because I'm in a watercolor painting class right now, I'm favoring a different style of illustration. The author's work is great, it's just not for me at the moment.

i remember a long thread about this deck about a year and a half ago when i first got this deck but i can't seem to find it now. when i first got it, my heart sank with disappontment; however, i worked with it and it grew on me. i traded it briefly to lee but after a brief vacation in arizona, it returned to me for good. ;) in the truest traditional sense, this is not a tarot imho. there are too many changes and creative nuances like the changes in the names used in the minor arcana and courts to be true tarot. at least i could not read it like regular tarot. i generally use the book. i use the deck more like an oracle that has deeper meaning than meaning do. i love the art and some of the changes. i know the creator was a student of robert wanless creator of another psyhological tarot. is it the voyager or something like that? it's a collage deck. the more you study the dance of life, the more you'll understand why her deck is this way instead of more traditional. while there are males in the deck, it's seems to be more female oriented but not anti-male.
i think it's a well thought out deck that has some very unique perspectives. definitely worth a go unless you are hopelessly in love with the more classical or traditional tarot.

I really liked much about this deck when I got a year or so ago. It is somewhat non-traditional -- Wands = Suit of Self, Cups = Suit of Relationships, Swords = Suit of Health, and Pentacles = Suit of Money & the Material World. Courts likewise -- Muse, Dancer, Lover and Sage.
Much of the artwork is amazing, but some of it is just...blah, as if the artist was having a bad day, yet submitted the "art" for publishing anyway.
Given that, I have gotten very good readings with it, though the Courts were/are challenging to keep straight.
It's decks like this that cause me to read the image alone, without trying to connect it with a more traditional meaning of a true Tarot.
YMMV

this was not the deck i would have chosen for my main reading deck but i get the oddest feeling it is choosing me...

i was at the universal light expo in october and got a reading from someone who used the dance of life cards and loved the reading and was intrigued by the cards, although i'm with asher the artwork is inconsistent but really seemed to speak clearly and even the keywords, i.e. i got the card "allergies" and boy am i having problems with that. i see that overstock.com has them for $19.99 us but i can't tell if that is just the book or includes the cards, so if anybody is a "lemming" and jumps off that cliff lemme know!

I got this deck (actually two of them lol) just a few days ago and it is really different. Because of the difference in styles in the artwork it has a really different and unique feel. Is anyone currently using this deck?
Thanks
Samantha

Why'd you get two? (grin)
I've been looking at this deck for years, but haven't ended up with it yet. I was able to look through a full deck one time and didn't like the glossiness of the laminate so passed it up at the time. I do like the artwork though and keep thinking about it every once in a while. It's not a huge want of mine but it doesn't seem to go completely off my wishlist. (shrug)

Hi There faunabay
The really funny thing is it looks like I might wind up with THREE of this deck lol. Ok here is how the story goes.
I ordered one copy from my local bokstore and waited about two months. Well they called to say it was in and I went down there and they had only received the book so the cards were M.I.A. so I said now and told my stepfather the story. He felt sory for me (Or just didn't want to hear me whine anymore) and ordered one online for me without telling me. So a week later I get a call at the bookstore that the deck that was supposed to be included showed up! So I went down and bought it. Then my stepfather told me he had got the one he ordered for me in lol (This is the first time he ever bought me a deck and I didn't want to tell him I got the other copy) So now I have two lol. Well when he was trying to order me the copy online he tried one store and the orderform crashed before he had put in his credit card so he just used another site. So now a third deck has showed up without any invoice or anything. Were still trying to return that one but the store that the return addy said it was from says it isn't theres. ACK
Well I really don't need THREE of the decks. I have one listed up for trade if anyone wants it. :) Hummmm what to do with three of the same decks? :)

I really like this deck a lot. I used it to do readings on Free Tarot & Free Reading Networks and found it gave some interesting insight. But it has a learning curve. I still have to refer to the book on occasion to figure out which card I've drawn. ;)
