I saw sample cards of the LS Book of Thoth deck today. To my surprise and relief, Lo Scarabeo retained the original titles, in this case French, and didn't succumb to the common LS practice of changing language and style of titles by adding their usual styled multi-language titles. Kudos to LS for that! Hopefully, LS will continue this better practice with regard to historical reproduction decks.
The cards of the LS deck appear to look identical to the Dusserre edition Etteilla III deck that I have; however, the back differs. I don't know which is more historically accurate. However, the Dusserre's cards don't seem to have as much coating.

I got that deck at the book fair and I like it. Although I did not try to read with it due to lack of time.

to the Italian reprint called Jeu des Dames. Wicce.com has a review of the French deck.

The French deck has the same backs as Lo Scarabeo put in.
It would be hard to reproduce the "Julia Orsini" Etteilla booklet in the French reproduction. I found a few of the layouts similar to Arthur Waite's commentary in a Pictorial Key to the Tarot and sometimes in old bookstores see used paperbacks devoted to old-fashioned fortune-telling layouts.
It's a pretty deck but I don't plan to explore it in the near future. I like it's place in my collection. There may be more information in History of the Occult Tarot by Decker and Dummet.
Lee Bursten reviews the deck as well.

Hope you enjoy the deck.
