What is your opinion about GDMT? I known of it searching trought internet, and find it very attractive and deep.

I don't own the deck, but from the scans I've seen I know that I don't like the idea of pip cards which show hands holding the suit objects. It's not the Ciceros' fault though; the hands are part of the specs for OGD cards as set out in the OGD manuscript entitled "Book 'T'".

I wish there was a better explanation why there are two Temperance cards other than "in order to conform to the requirements of Golden Dawn ritual." I know very little about anything OGD-related, so a more thorough explanation would be helpful.

version of the Troth.
Or the Troth is a more "refined" version of the Golden Dawn.
When you compare both, they are very similar, but the Troth is prettier, and some of the symbols are less obvious...

The OGD's deck is described in the OGD's manuscript called the Book T. The Cicero's GDMT deck, although created after the Thoth deck, generally follows the directives in that manuscript.

The OGD's deck preceded the creation of the Thoth deck. Very generally speaking, the Thoth deck is inspired by the OGD deck, but also reflects Crowley's own ideas on tarot and his Thelemic philosophy. Crowley's book, The Book of Thoth, describes his deck. Note that Crowley's Book of Thoth is not to be confused with the OGD's Book T.

Check out Joan Cole's discussion comparing Golden Dawn occult decks...might help you decide:

The Golden Dawn Magical Tarot or Golden Dawn Ritual Tarot seems to be the same deck to me.

There's a flat style to the artwork and the colors that were chosen are those that tend to 'vibrate'.

There might be something similar in terms of Golden Dawn associations in Tarots of the Seriph...although both art styles didn't work for me in the long run.

I had the Golden Dawn Magical deck for a year and just kept it at the bottom of the drawer. The deck/book minikit was a new idea then. I thought the deck would grow on me, but it never did. I put in the trade pile and I've kept Robert Wang's Golden Dawn Tarot instead for reference.

I've used my Thoth and alternatives more, the designs work better for me...perhaps the Thoth color printing in the deep blue box by AGMueller is more to my taste.

I just got that one in a trade and I basically traded for it as I wanted to enlarge the section of Crowley Thot variations in my collection. Besides, I want to compare it with the Jungian tarot.
