i don't know what kind of decks you prefer, shadow wolf. i like it but it is very nontraditional. the colors are bright. the art loose and flowing as if done by opaque watery acrylics or gouche. even child-like. there are no court cards. i think it would probably appeal more to a teenager. i wanted it for my collection. i was also curious about how a non courts tarot would work. descriptive words are written on each card. for example, on the ace of pentacle, "new career moves" is on the bottom of the card. there's a "I" at top and the image of a coin. you need to be able to name each suit by the symbol as this info isn't supplied. for the hierophant, there is an image of a blonde woman looking out a window. at the bottom of the card, first line, "nostalgia, reflection" and at the very bottom in large letters is "Tradition". the backs are a pretty blue and green with stars.
hope this helps you.

I (and my Tarot Circle) call it the "Barbie Tarot". Yet, it gave a pretty darn good reading when I used it.
The colors are nice and it might be good to use with skittish clients ( the ones for whom I am tempted to take out The Devil, Death, The Tower and the 9 & 10 of Swords...smile)
I also like the keywords on many of the cards, they give an interesting slant on the meaning.
Be aware also that the deck gives a positive spin to the ...challenging cards. For example, the 10 of Swords has a girl dancing, holding aloft 2 swords while the others point away from her and the keywords are: "healing, second chance". As the back of the box says :"There are only positive and uplifting cards in this deck."
Your mileage may vary.

I have this deck too and I enjoy it. It is the type of tarot that will appeal to Doreen Virtue fans.. It is published by Hay House and similar in style to her Angel / Fairie decks...The art is very bright and vibrant... you can see pics here:

The deck def. gives things a more positive spin - but that is what I like about it. I have done some very good readings with it.
However, I find it is a deck that is made primarily for women...
