I just found these decks last week and love them both, although I'm not sure I'm going to be able to use them as reading decks. Does anybody else have either of these?
The Bruegel is a very rich deck and crammed with scenes inspired by the painter. Apparently his work owes much to Bosch (the LWB claims that he even signed one of his works as a Bosch probably for commercial reasons), so this deck is not going to appeal to anyone who doesn't like the latter's artwork (and I know there are plenty who fall into that category!). The deck is not as brightly-hued as the Bosch but the colours are beautiful in their own right. As far as I can see, this deck doesn't even appear on LoS's own website yet.
The Tarot of the III Millennium is a fantastic hybrid - mostly in monochrome - with the exception of the Courts, which are in full colour. The Minors and Courts have a small window showing what I imagine is the original TdM depiction of the card. The deck is made up like a jigsaw - a detail in the corner of one card, say, will form the central scene in another. It is medieval in depiction but barcodes and computer circuitry form the background of many cards. I just love its quirkiness. I want to sit down and see how much of the picture I can put together!
All in all, two fun "new toys" for me!

hey Scorpion,
congratulations on your new decks! I don't have any of the two decks though... yet! I ordered the Bruegel on Proxis, so it should be on its way. I really hope it'll be here next weekend for Sinterklaas en my birthday. ooh I'm really anxious to hold it my hands, I think I'll really really like it... hmm I'm off to go look at some pictures of the deck on Tarotgarden!

Spoonbender,
Thanks! And many happy returns in advance of your birthday. I hope you get the deck by then. There's just so much going on in each scene, I see something different every time I go back to it.

Thanks for that Firemaiden - and the links to the original artwork! I didn't do a search cos I tend to keep an eye on the decks threads but I managed to miss this.
I also managed to miss that flying penis, but I'm off to have a look for it now......!

I've been using mine for the last 11 months and it works very nicely. The theme of this deck is more so the conflict that arises from integrating things new and old and the synergy that comes from such. The minors form a tableaux . . . almost. The picture never seems to resolve thus is like the Zen koan that has no answer, that we contemplate in silence. The old Marseilles cards that are inset into the minors and the accompanying artwork is very striking indeed. The artwork of the majors is ravishing and well-done. The card "The Lover" is unique, it focuses upon the "eye of the beholder" you might say.
Subjectively speaking, when I read with this deck it is very direct and sharp, like attending a dissection of a cadaver by candlelight while dressed in formal wear.
