I have a picture of the Valet of Cups that I am in love with. :* The only information I have is that it's from a deck Bologna 1664. Through alot of searching I think it is reproduced in this deck. Do anyone of you taroholics own Tarocchi di G.M. Mitelli published by Dal Negro?
If you do could you take the Valet of Cups out and look at him?
He is wearing a red shirt with short sleeves, and white puffy cuffs. His short pant are blue and he's wearing white leggings with stripes of red on them and a blue fring at the bottom. Brown boots. He's holding the cup in front of him with one hand, it's gold and the shape of a wine glass. In his other hand that he has behind his body he holds a blue fringed towel. He has medium long blond hair. And you have a side view of him as he appears to be walking carrying his cup to someone. I would really like to own this deck if this card is in it. Namaste

The pages or fantes are female.
She has plum shawl draped over a slight blue tint blouse with three tiers of poufs, a delicate chain girdle and a pouf over her overskirt tinted in light violet. Her skirt and cloak are similar delicate magenta violet.
She has a crown, looks to her left and is holding a bit of her cloak with her left hand. She faces us squarely, no pants at all, her skirts clearly visible
The knight and king are pictured in some of the links below. Hope you find your deck...I can vaguely see a resemblance, but your description sounds different from what I'm seeing...sorry.

You can buy it through alidastore.com or try tarotgarden.com
I do have a small poetry book called "The tarot of Cornelious Agrippa" which are just storytelling prose poems...not really about the deck at all. But there are brown and white engravings of the Mitelli, which iis known as a tarocchini...it does not have a full 78 deck historically or otherwise, but it's fine engravings are known...happy reading.

Thank you Mari, you always come through with the best information. What does the Valet of Cups look like, does he fit my description?

Close description, but the pants and colors really threw me. The attendants are both a female and male in this deck, which is about 62 cards.
The blonde-haired Page or Fante has a yellowish blouson, showing a three-quarter slight twist from the back, with the spinal column twist slightly arched to balance the red cup. The right hand is back with a magenta-light violet towel and and the left hand has a goblet. The goblet has a two knob stem and the bottom of it in his in the left hand. A slight look of apprehension seems to be on the page's shaded expression as he looks at the goblet.
He has pinkish cutoff shorts and braces from below his knee to his calves with some fringe attached to his leg braces. He is barefooted and the shadows extend from his feet to the ground.
If you saw the picture online, or in black or white, you could think that he is wearing pants with stripes and boots. The colors are not close to your description.

Yippee Mari, thats it! I'm off to order the deck as fast as I can. Thank you a zillion. I have been trying to track down that deck for two years! I was beginning to think it was only in a private collection.
