I just got my Brotherhood of Light Tarot - Reprint deck. For those who want the deck without the sometimes high prices of ebay, etc, the price is $13.95. I got mine at the Bodhi Tree Bookstore in Los Angeles, http://www.bodhitree.com/ but it should be available everywhere soon.
The backs are the same, with the addition of the 2003 copyright date, however the cards have been re-worked. It's evident that the images are basically the same, but the fine lines in the original have benefitted from modern printing techniques, so that the image appears larger. In addition, more detail has been added to the images and the result is a cleaner looking deck.
The Magician card is on the cover of the box, and there is a card advertising the Church of Light courses included. All in al, I think it is an improvment on the original.

Is it this deck?
http://www.astroamerica.com/t-brother.html
I saw an enhanced scan on one box where there was pretty colors surrounding the Magician...but didn't get a chance to see if the color enhancement also touched the card itself.
Does the deck come with a thick booklet like the Ibis Tarot? Did U.S. Games enhance the original set?
I want to do a review of my Lo Scarabeo Egyptian set and I am curious if the new Brotherhood of Light Tarot that you got seems 'more interesting' than the Ibis. I know I did not like the Old Brotherhood of Light deck when I saw samples in stores.
I do apologize if I am mixing up the different sets...

Yes Mari, this is the reprinted deck on your link. It is entirely black and white with no LWB at all. I find the unique art of the reprint to be more interesting than the 'styilized' art of the Ibis. As the reviewer on your link states, There are details on the reprint that you didn't relize were there.

Gerbear,
Is the Hermit card the same image as the older deck???
I have the deck and the Sacred Tarot book by Zain (which I can't understand at all LOL).....but the Hermit image in this book is different from the deck. And I like the book one MUCH better than the deck image. The book image is much more eqyptian while the deck seems to be christianized.
Either way I'm going to have to get the re-print! :) Just curious.

Faunabay,
I don't have the book, but the Hermit in the reprint is an Egyptian figure, not at all like the old image. Perhaps it is the one in the book.

I received my new re-issue deck yesterday and it's MUCH easier to see details!!
There are a few differences I noticed other than recoloring though. I haven't gone through card by card yet, but noticed that the devil in the older deck is holding what looks like a torch upside down while in the new deck it's right side up?? And the Hermit IS the better (IMO) version that's in the CC Zain book, not the christianized one from the old deck.
To anyone who has the older Brotherhood of the Light deck you NEED :) to have this new re-issue!! :D I'm MUCH happier with this new version!!

These cards are printed in black and white on sturdy stock. Instructions on the use of the tarot cards and their hermetic color correspondences may be found in CS VI, The Sacred Tarot by C.C. Zain and in the pamphlet \"Coloring the Egyptian Tarot\" by Ken Stone. $19.95
