Yes . I´ve also got it and haven´t time to study it yet.
But I liked , some Majors are fantastic like Death and the Hermit
and it seems to me like it´s going to be great for readings.

Sorry bangbang, I started the thread then fled!!
I've only got the LWB to go by at the moment but I like this coloured pip thing thats going on. Its particularly noticeable (sp)
when the minors are all spread out on a table. At the moment I find it quite difficult to choose a favourite card cuz they're all so beautiful aren't they?
This is one of my favourites: http://www.tarotforlife.com/files/Gill4Swords.jpg
whats yours?

Hi, Moonbow!
The Empress is the card I always think of when I picture the Gill deck. I just love the way her form flows into the hill...very cool!
As far as the pips go, I think the cups and swords are my favorite suits. The 3 of Swords is very evocative, and I found the 9 of Swords rather compelling. And I just love the dragon on the 7 of Cups! He's so cute!
And then there's the court cards...the King of Swords' throne being made of feathers, the seaweed and fishnet on the Queen of Cups' skirt...they say so much with such simple motifs.
I hope you like the deck! The Gill is one of my 'Top Ten' decks that get a special place in the basket next to my desk!
Peace,
Melvis

I like the Gill deck's use of the Golden Dawn colour scales. This and the Duquette deck are the only ones to use them consistently throughout the deck.
Each card in the deck has its own identity and individuality. 78 cards that don't look too much like each other gives the deck much variety.

Hi Melvis & Rusty Neon
I still haven't had a really good look at this deck (been on the computer too much!) but the cards you pointed out are all so descriptive in their pictures. The pips and courts, I think are my favourites. I also like a deck where the courts colours reflect their suit, is this what you mean Rusty Neon when you refer to the Golden Dawn colouring?
Does anyone have the book? Is it worth getting?

I think you'll find its the colour scales of the Qabbalah. I do have the book and it does give some information on this but its still confusing to me!!

What about the Navigators of the Mystic Sea? The 'people'in the pips are the same colour as the spheres on the tree of life. Although I do find the Gill a much 'friendlier' deck on the eye for this comparison. Do you have a link for the Duquette deck Rusty?

Hi moonbow ... Basic info about the Golden Dawn's four colour scales (used in all 78 cards of the Gill and Duquette decks) can be found in the link below. In each of the minor arcana cards, the particular one of the four colour scales that is the one corresponding to the relevant suit is used. If you have more questions, please feel free to post.
