I just won a set of promo prints for a tarot deck that was being painted by one of my favorite fantasy artists, Richard Kane Ferguson. It was to be called the First Pentacle of Xyena Tarot Cards, but the company that commissioned the deck went out of business before it was done. What a shame, I would have loved to see it finished. I already know it would have been my favorite.
Here is the link to the auction in case you wish to see the few cards that made print in one form or another.....

Oh wow - that would have been a deck worth having!
Is there any chance the work will be funded by another publisher?

Those are awesome.. what a shame they were not finished. Is the seller the author of the deck?

This project started way back in 1994, so at this point I don't think the rights were picked up by anyone. It would be interesting to find out though.....

I don't know that. I don't think that the artist was the seller, but beyond that, I have no inkling.

The art looks a lot like what comes up in Heavy Metal magazine, I wouldn't be surprised if one of the regular artists there had a hand in this.
Boy, $7 bucks??? Such a deal!

I actually discovered his work while playing a card game called Magic the Gathering. Some of my favorite magic cards had his artwork.
