I got the Shapeshifter Tarot, Crystal Ally Cards and Goddess
Wisdom cards. The Unicorn Tarot and Dreampower Tarot are on order from Amazon.com.
I love the Crystal Ally Cards and The Shapeshifter Tarot. I'm still
going through the books and reading through the exercises etc...........
I did a quick 3-card reading with the Crystal Ally cards and it was very accurate, it was like a natural progression from the first card to the third. All right on target !!!!!

Christmas and birthday are closely connected for me and I share your joy, Shadow Wolf.
I received the Ancient Egyptian Tarot which I have long had my eye on and I've been looking through it this morning with a great deal of pleasure.
I also got two books:
Pictures from the Heart: a Tarot dictionary by Sandra Thompson; and
Astrology: Understanding the Birth Chart - a comprehensive guide to classical interpretation by Kevin Burke.
The latter two were from someone close to me who has been a little sceptical of my relatively new interests, so I see this as a promising sign of acceptance.

Tarot was a big part of the gifts I received -- Tarot of Prague deck and book, plus three books; Tarot Tells the Tale, The Tarot Workbook (gives lots of readings for me to study), and Rachel Pollack's Complete Illustrated Guide To Tarot (which I wanted for both the reading and the hundreds of card illustrations from some fifty decks -- the latter because my hobby is carving tarot figures in wood).
Shadow Wolf; I also have and admire the Witches Tarot -- have had some remarkable readings with it (I use the Swords/Fire and Wands/Air approach when using the deck).

I also recieved this book(!!!)among many others. Soon I will hopefully be able to participate more meaningfully in the Astrology forum, instead of just asking the questions!

Shadow Wolf - Happy Christmas!!!
How exciting for you... Shapeshifter was the very second deck I ever got, then I let it go, and was immediately sorry, but.. I have it back in my happy home to never let it go again :D. It is one of my favorites as well...
Are you overwhemed yet?? I received some book, I am a little overwhelmed with them, because I bought myself a couple for Christmas too. ;)

Since I didn't receive any new decks for Christmas, yesterday I bought myself one. I bought the Tarot of the Animal Lords.
It is a delightful deck. I know that I will enjoy using it... eventually.
Two odd things --this deck almost gave me an asthma attack. I don't know what kind of chemical they used on the cards, but my lungs didn't like it at all. The deck is now on the window sill, where it will remain until the odor is gone.
The other thing -- I thought that I would recognize more animals than I did. As I went through the cards, one by one, I kept the LWB handy, not for the meanings of the cards, but just to see what animal I was looking at. Clearly I need a trip to the zoo sometime soon.

Oh poor Sue... another stinky deck is Radiant Rider Waite... careful if you buy that one.

For Xmas, I was in Elyria, Ohio and had a gift certificate to a Waldenbooks. They had standard assortment of U.S. Games decks, so I chose the Radiant as alternative and then an art book. Because I've got one of these headcolds, I cannot smell the new inks yet...
Just prior to Xmas I had received a nice check from my folks and bought the Lovers Tarot by Jane Lyle, the 78 card 10th anniversary edition. I took it and my old Rider Waite to the inlaws trip, along with the Pictorial Key to the Tarot. I ended up reading the Pictorial Key only a little, mainly enjoying looking at the Lovers Tarot courts and majors and studying the descriptions in the 208 page book. I think I like this as a reading deck the best so far...

hey Shadow Wolf :)
I got the Shapeshifter Tarot for Xmas too. Actually, it is funny... later on in the evening (long after we did the present exchange), I was playing with the Phantasmagoric Tarot which I also got for xmas... and I made a comment to my step-mum that I was happy to get one of the three decks I asked for. She said, "you only got one???" Then she called my Dad in who navigated to an overlooked present in the back of the tree... and ta-dah.... the Shapeshifter tarot! haha. Guess it had shapeshifted to blend into the tree skirt! :D

A package from Alida arrived today (one week from shipping to my door, even during the holidays -- amazing!)
Phoenix Tarot - a very colorful self-published deck w/geometric, non-illustrated minors (the 4th such deck I've gotten in the last month). Also signed and numbered! See the cards here:
http://www.78tarots.com
Le Mani Divinatorie (miniature) - also signed and numbered, by O. Menegazzi. Majors only, each card depicting a hand holding an object related to the meaning of the card. For example, card XX, The Angel, holds a trumpet.
And, Alida threw in a free deck (think the offer is still good) - I got the I Tarochhi dell'Alba Dorata. The Majors only from Lo Scrabeo's Art Tarot series. This deck is available as a 78 card deck as The Tarots of the Golden Dawn, recently re-issued as The Enchanted Tarot (by Lo Scarabeo/Llwellyn). A charming deck, populated with fairies, gnomes and other creatures.
Now if only my Tarot of Timeless Truth would arrive as timely as my decks from Italy...

...with some new acquisitions!
I gifted to a friend the Cosmic Tribe, and he gave me the Quest set.
I also received the Healing w/ the Angels Oracle, this time in Spanish--for some reason, I like it better.
(I guess I whined enough about giving up my old one, so now all is Right and Good in my little world... :D )
I also got two new tarot accessories: a blue silk drawstring bag for my Aquarian deck, and a green Chinese brocade drawstring bag for my Visconti...they were both sorely in need of homes, so these are both much appreciated.
Then, serendipitously ressurrected from behind a friend's bookcase was the Voyager deck set; I said, "that counts as a holiday gift," and now it's all mine!
:D

Welcome back, Tauni, I missed you !!!!
Last I heard you were moving!!!!!
How did it go ? I'm so glad you're back !!!!
I finally picked up the Fairie Oracle (Brian Froud). I was sorry to hear that you had to let yours go.
The Fey have been keeping thing very interesting around here.
They like to hide the remote to the TV hubby watches, and then
they laugh when he has the kids scrambling around looking for it !!!
My nine yr. old always insists that he leaves it on the end table where my hubby sits. I believe him !!! Those darn fairies !!!
Anyway , I 'm very glad you're back among us !!!

Thank you for the kind re-welcome, Shadow Wolf!
Yes, I am completely moved in--how cool is that?!! :D
It was hectic, but worth all the struggle...
I am not online where I live right now, so posting will have to be more strategic...but I'm still around!
Yes, now i kinda regret giving away my Froud's Faeries...*sigh*
By the way (and keeping on topic), now that we've all got new tarot stuff from the holidays, I bet there's gonna be some serious trading before too long!
Hmmm, time to go through the collection...
