Hi,
I am considering purchasing the Wild Spirit deck and book by Poppy Palin. I did look over the older threads about it and am wondering if anyone really uses this deck frequently? Also, if you use it often... are you using it for yourself or for others?
:-)
Blessings & Light,

Thanks Dolphinprincess! That was really helpful! :-) Could you please email me the Word doc you were talking about with the meanings. If the book is so bad, maybe i'll just look for a deck only.

Hi skydancer
Edited to add: Sorry, but for some reason it didn't post the whole message, and all you got was 'Hi Skydancer!'
What I meant to say was that I don't think Llewellyn have released the Wild Spirit deck separately from the book: I think it only comes as a deck-book set.

Sorry about that! The post only posted the first part of the original message. I've edited it now. :D

Even though there are mixed / negative reviews about the book, I still think its important to have.....
Granted, its not always an easy read... but for the past three nights I have pulled this deck's version of Strength... and for three nights I have made myself read ALL the pages on this card.... and last night the story suddenly made complete sense to me...
I don't think this book is easy bc it is not what we are used to.. and it does have its down side.. but if you keep at it, you might find yourself surprised with some wisdom :o)
** and I agree with Kiama - the deck has not been released without the book..

Hi
I do love the artwork for this deck :) When I first received it I tried to read with it using the book (doing a relationship spread :() and with the book meanings I sure didn't get much out of it. But I do feel that if you had someone who was say woried about there home or an environment issue that this deck would be super. While I love the artwork I just didn't get a feeling that this deck would work for me on human concerns but more on a wider world basis. Anyone else get that feeling?

Thank you both for the tips. So far all I can go by are the cards I've seen online and I liked those. In that one aweful review of it where they pick on the Temperance card... I totally got the inner child connection right away. I had to think about it for a sec...BUT... then all the lights came on. When there is a true balance in spirit then, ALL parts of oneself are joyful...including the inner child. :-) I hope they all make sense to me like that when I get the set.
Thanks again,
