... I have to talk about this deck... ! It was a little gift.. and I **** love **** it. I never thought I'd like a deck with such big cards.. but after using the Druid Animal Oracle, this wasn't too much bigger...
Hence the title, I felt like such a little kid looking through the deck. The colors make me smile.. The images make me smile.. It is such an amazingly feel good deck... Yet, I don't think it is "fluff"...
I can't wait to read with it tonight.. ! Does anyone else enjoy this deck ?

..sigh!...i saw the deck and book set once in a popular bookstore where i buy my decks (mind you variety is very very limited where i live)...i wanted it!...unfortunately i didnt have the budget at that time. when i had the money...OH NO!...it was gone, and rarely do they replenish stocks for tarot cards here...sorry, just had to let go of that frustration...anyway goodluck with the new deck and i hope everything works out fine...

Hi dolphinprincess
I have this deck and as you say the pictures are very light. I haven't read with them at all yet. But whenever someone else does a thread like this it makes me want to get them out and have a go with them. I love the size of the cards and the colours, the artist really did put alot into them. They would be good for dreamwork, I think.

.. I was very lucky. I got this set, which retails for $35.. pretty much brand new off of Amazon Marketplace for $8.95. It was a steal!! .. and I am just so pleased with the cards.
I bought a new journal the other day and so far I've been drawing a Faerie.. and now a card from this deck.. and writing about them. The two work *very* well together.
I feel like if someone had jumped into my imagination, and then drew up a deck.. it would look something like this.
Moonbow*, I hope you get them out and play.. :o)

This particular deck keeps on getting on my on again, off again wish list. I just don't seem to have the budget for it somehow.
But I know that I will eventually get it. I am so mesmerized by the images, because it does bring out the child in me.
I know that sometime in the near future I will be a proud owner of it. I am also planning on getting the whole package, i.e. the deck set and the workbook that comes separately. It's just me. The deck won't feel the same without these.
Meanwhile, I keep on looking at the images wherever I find them online. *sigh*
So, enjoy yours, and have lots of fun :)

Hi all,
I have both the Inner Child and the Whimsical. Personally, I prefer the Whimsical Tarot. The Inner Child deck is cute but the colors are way too intense for me. I feel like the kids are running around screaming at the top of their lungs everytime I try to use the Inner Child deck. The Inner Child deck cards are also way too big for my small hands. The Whimsical is much calmer! The colors are pastels and the cards are smaller and easier for me to handle. Both decks have done a great job of selecting stories for the cards!

.... I looked at the Whimsical Tarot too.. I really like that as well,
but it is actually the "intense" colors that drew me to the Inner Child instead.. Funny how everyone's taste is different. Luckily there are many different decks out there....
... Feebie, thanks for reminding me about the workbook.. I almost ordered that before, but I wanted to make sure I really liked the deck. I'll have to go check that out again...
How different is the workbook from the book in the set?

I use it when I am getting too harsh with myself.... it helps me to get a perspective of Delight. I suffer from over seriousness and the Inner Child reminds me of my Truth..... It is filled with faeries, of course, so there is much magick and wonder in the cards.....

Thanks so much Feebie for posting the link! I really appreciate it :o)
I'm just loving this deck sooo much - I think I will have to order the workbook.
** edited to add: I lucked out again. Someone wants me to have this set. I just ordered the workbook brand new, from Amazon Marketplace, for $4.95. :o)

Hi Dolphinprincess!
I'm so glad you love this deck. I own 57 decks and I'd have to say that this is my favorite. It is such a "feel good" deck. I love the bright colors and the large size of the cards. It's harder to shuffle but if the cards were smaller, a lot of the details would be lost to the eye.
I always turn to this deck when I want my spirit to feel uplifted. I guess I'm still a big kid at heart.
Enjoy your new deck!

I also love the Inner Child cards. At the beginning of the school year (September, here) I did readings for my son and I covering the next nine months with this deck. I used the Celtic Cross and the spreads unfolded beautifully. Not only does each individual card have much to say, but they work so harmoniously together that the readings were incredibly rich in meaning and dense with feeling. I was originally drawn to the deck's colors and artistic style, but I keep using it because the readings from it are so insightful.

After long last I aquired these cards, and I am so happy. They are well worth the wait.
I am so excited about them and feel as if floating in a dreamlike state, of innocent childhood memories of long lost friends and dreams.
As soon as I received them earlier today, and after counting and shuffling them ,I wanted to see how this deck relates to me and vice versa. I got Major #XVII, wishing upon a star card, and the Nine of Hearts, which is often considered the wish card. What a blessing....!
So it seems that these cards will make my dreams come true. I am as excited as a little child.
Does anyone else think that these cards are great too?

Hi Feebie
Since posting in this thread I have used the cards, and one of the readings that sticks in my mind was the one I did in the Dream Circle in Reading Exchange.
There are times when this deck reads more clearly than others because of the light nature of it. In the reading I mentioned (if I remember right) I had some swords that would not have fitted at all into what I felt if I had used another deck.
I always wondered if I would use this deck but I have no doubts now it speaks very clearly and enables alot of intuition - which I love to do.

That's wonderful, Feebie:-)
I like all my decks, but I recently made a list of decks I like but could live without vs decks I feel intensely possessive about. The Inner Child cards made the latter list without hesitation. The Guide of Crystals (St. Nicholas) card has come up several times as a helper for me and so is particularly special to me. I had a custom bag made for the deck in red, crushed velvet with a forest green silk lining in his honor. Hope you have a long, happy relationship with this deck.

Wow! I just love synchronicity!
I was feeling so down today...because I have this awful painful sinusy cold thing...
and when I dragged myself to the post office I found this very deck waiting for me!!!
(thank you, Scorpion! Thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!)
I absolutely adore this deck!!
Everything about it is so wonderful, and colorful, and expressive and encouraging and just so darn optimistic and bright!
I am so in love with these cards!
I give my inner child free reign on a regular basis...so of course the whimsical concept and illustration style appealed to me immediately!
The first card I drew happened to be the 10...
The wheel...my soul card...the one I am currently painting for my own deck...
And here is Alice in Wonderland...on a carousel.
this is hugely significant to me for two reasons...
One...I have collected hundreds of Alice in Wonderland stuff since I was 10 years old...
and second... the wheel of Fortune card in my own deck also pictures a carousel!
I love synchronicity. And I really really love this deck (even though we just met...) :)
