They did it again--about 24 selections of 'not quite tarot' cards. I LOVE the "Kermit" and the "Looser" cards. Some very strange stuff over there.

Hope some of these people don't quit their day job!

Funny! and some of them were really well made too.

I especially liked Apocolypse and Your Sister's Boyfriend.

"Your Sister's Boyfriend" looked like a card my brother might draw...

I also loved "The Kermit" :D And the Apocalypse made me laugh.

VGimlet  14 Jan 2004
I loved the fishing cards :D And the Muppet cards, heh heh.

I would have to agree with jema, some did seem well made.. funny and morbid.

Thanks for posting this link :)

the 5 of gophers is too funny! :D

This site is delightful! Thanks HudsonGray!
The perfect medicine for a dreary Winter day...

I too love the 5 of Gophers, and the Kermit is priceless!
The ode to Steve Miller made me laugh so hard I fell off the chair!
:D

hey HudsonGray, thanks for posting this link. I enjoyed the tarot cards... but even more, this website rocks! Definitely looks like a fun creative outlet for artists, designers, etc. Yay! Just what I need to get the ol' creative "juices" flowing again.

thanks again :) joya

This is the second tarot thing they've done, you'll have to dig through the contests to find the other one. Some of those were 'keepers' too. It's amazing what you can do with Photoshop & those other software packages. And these are 'amateurs', not professional media people.

Well, Hudson Grey, I suspect you'd have to stretch the definition of amateur a long way in some cases. I recognized the BodHammer as a remake of The Farrier from the World Fantasy Deck from 1974 - assuming it's the same artist and not a fast steal, he's been doing this at least semi-professionally for a long time.

It's a GREAT site.

Worth1000 is one of my favorite sites for a good belly laugh. Wish I'd thought of 'The Kermit'!

These are great! I remember seeing the first contest too, but I think the joker/smoker/midnight toker is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time! I laughed so loud I scared my son!

Hi HudsonGray,

I can't believe I missed this thread! Thank you very much for posting it. I'm still ROTFLMAO! Those cards are too funny and I must admit some of the artwork is really good too. I can't decide which one is my fav though since there were many I liked for different reasons.

Uh oh...feel the juices flowing...must create NOW! Could this be the start of deck #7??? To quote Mr. Bill "Oh Noooooooooo!" :-)

Joy to you,
Maralee
