I just wanted to give you all an example of how powerful your little mind control techniques are.....
A month ago, I had but one deck. In a week, I will have five. Five!!
So I supposed you all want to know what I'm getting, and what I got. Okay. I started out with the Hudes. Then, I ordered the Celtic Dragon. The same day it arrived, I went out and bought the Fey. Now, a few weeks later, I had so much trouble deciding between two decks that I bought them both at the same time. I just completed my order for the Tarot of Transformation and the Tarot of Mermaids. It's a miracle I managed to save $27 and get free shipping.
I hope you're all happy!! :(
Now if you'll excuse me, I have some tarot bags to make :D

I'm glad I could be of some service in getting yet one more person started on a tarot collection! }) And once you have the disease, it's very hard to stop buying. So.... save every penny you can because you'll be spending more!
Nice decks, by the way! Yes, I have every one of those! And over 150 more!
Your fellow tarotholic,
Karen
P.S. - Did I mention www.tarottotes.com ? They have very nice tarot bags!!! Mwhaa ha ha

bhwahahaha
Yes, this place has that influence. I belonged to the Forums for quite a while before I started collecting. I really like having a lot of decks and spend a few enjoyable minutes just in deck selection before a reading. I like to match the topic, or the personality, to the deck.

Umm... Dead Star just wait til you see what can happen in just under a year...
As of Mar 2003 I had 1 deck that I had for about 6 or 7 years. Then one day I discovered AT and decided to get serious with learning ...
It started off innocently enough, I had to replace my original deck after it was mauled by my bassett. While checking prices, I saw another deck that I liked as well. Then while surfing EBay to see if I could find a good deal on them, I ran across a listing for a 10 deck lot that had a very mixed selection including one that is very hard to find...Ten months later my deck count is at 48 with one more on pre-order.
I'm not sure what to attribute this phenomenon to. I only know that it seems very suspiciously coincidencidental that the deck population in my house started its expolsive growth around the same time I joined AT.

Hi Dead Star,
Collecting decks does get addictive - lol - I remember coming to this site with my trusty Rider Waite in tow - I never dreamed that there were so many tarot decks out there, it didn't take long for the bug to hit me but eventually it does even itself out and you'll find that not many decks will get your interest - then again its took me nearly 30 approx (I think) decks to work through to find the one I want to stick with. :D
Its all experience, no two decks give exactly the same perspective of a card - Well thats what I tell myself :)

Dead Star... I was wondering just how long you could hold out..:laugh::laugh:
I foresee a time when you will have to dedicate and entire suitcase to tarot when you move :D

I've had My Enchanted for a decade, and we're a happy couple. I found the Illumination Tarot website a year ago and I saw the Gothic Tarot there reviewed and fell in love with it, but I couldn't buy it because I had just started saving money to buy myself a computer. I've been hoping to get it all year long, and I recently purchased it. In the fall, I discovered this place, including Wicce and Tarot Passages's tarots reviews.
Let's just say that now I do have a wishlist that contains at least a dozen tarot decks, and I seriously want them. So yes, this place has a lot of influence on people. Still, I've tried to keep in my wishlist the ones I like and want the most, and I also try not to check reviews anymore. I don't want to finish with too many decks.

So have you decided how you are going to rotate your new decks. I had trouble with that wen I started out (ahem still do). I would suggest designating times/circumstances for reading with your new decks. Maybe Fey will be the evening deck ro the weekend deck or the relationship deck or the deep inner work deck. I've tried many times to create guidelins liek taht for myself and then just decided for the dck taht I was feelin' but I have faith that you would be stringer than I was.

Very funny Moonbow. Actually I hang my head in shame whenever I remember that post, haha.
Shade - I might have to use dice to make the picks now :D
LadyMedusa - Now I'm really seriously afraid.
And the rest of you, stop making fun of me!

and they're all singing out loud this year!
What a nice way to look at your tarot collection...different voices to express your spirit.
And just a little bit ago, you thought one voice was all you needed...
Cheers!

Frankly, one is all I need. But with you people constantly surrounding me, one is much less than I WANT. :)
