It seems many of our favorite places to search for release dates are not able to update yet. Hope this helps:
Late Feb-early March
Argeo at Alidastore.com says he's getting ready to receive the Pagan Tarot (Gina Pace) and I heard the Tarot of the Druids (Lupatelli/Baraldi) is also available.
April 2004
Liber T: Tarot of the Stars Eternal (Negrini/Serio)-Thothlike
Golden Tarot of Renaissance: Estensi Tarot (Berti/Dworkin) - recreation of Charles VI
July 2004
Tarot of Atlantide - Vigna/Rotundo
Gay Tarot - Bursten/Platano
October 2004
Native American Tarot -Tuan/Tiselli
Dragons Tarot - Torado/Baraldi
I'm going by a paper catalog received after ordering and signing up for news with Wonderful Tarots last year...it's a Lo Scarabeo associated website.
Best wishes! A link to the online catalogue (but no dates seen as of 2/25/04).

Thanks Mari!
These dates are very helpful as a guideline, since the website doesn't give us any release dates....
I was wondering if you know of any links showing pics of the Golden Tarot of Renaissance Estensi deck??? I thought I read (somewhere) that this would be a gold-foiled collector's deck...do you know anything about that?
Thanks!

For the Estensi tarot:
The Lo Scarabeo link shows four cards of the Estensi Tarot- under the Gold and Silver topic title of tarot decks.
I can only say the two majors - Heirophant and Death card -- follows the coloring of the 16 remaining originals of the so called Charles VI in color books such as the Art of the Tarot by Christine Oleson.
On the website and catalogue, there looks like two cards that pulled from other sources--the triple crowned woman in white with a blue mantle with the cross on her left, white-gloved hand--I think it is the Popess or High Priestess.
My speculation, and curiousity follows.
I wonder if they used a Madonna or perhaps Beatrix D'Este (an Este daughter of one of the Marquis' that became a nun after her fiancee died)
The other card is the red-robed Magician, it seems, with two childish pages. A De Sphera manuscript example, perhaps? That would be an accurate reference under Duke Borso (circa 1470)'s time.
I'm hopeful to know in a few months time.
Best wishes,
Mari H.

Possibly stupid question: The pagan and druid decks now available... are those in Italian only or also in English?

Hi Shade, Lo Scarabeo publishes a single version of each of their decks for multiple language markets. Each deck has the card names and titles in the various languages.

How about those mini decks featured on the site? Are they already published? I have been looking for them but haven't found them yet. Would be so cool to get more mini decks!!!!

Mari, I meant to post this sooner, but I would only think of it when I was at work and didn't have access to the book in question. The Art of Tarot mini-book by Christina Olsen shows the existing cards from the so-called Charles VI Tarot that the Lo Scarabeo Estensi reproduces. In addition, Olsen shows a similar deck from the same period (c. 1475-1480), the Ercole d'Este Tarot, housed at Yale University. The existing majors from this deck are:
Fool
Magician
Pope
Temperance
Star
Moon
Sun
World
The magician in the Estensi reproduction appears to be a copy of the Ercole d'Este Magician. If I had a scanner I would post a photo, but sadly I do not.

Just thought I'd ask again... Does anyone know when the decks will be published? Mini Visconti would be nice!
