When at a French language bookstore today, I was quite surprised to see the Mystic Meg Tarot deck and book set available in French. I haven't ever seen the English set in person, even though amazon.ca lists it as available. It could make sense to release it in French as it has non-illustrated pips, consistent with Tarot de Marseille tradition.

I saw a Mystic Tarot set at Barnes and Noble today for about 13 dollars. It didn't say Mystic Meg though. It looked as though the artist from Moon Oracle drew the illustrations. I think her name is Caroline Smith. Since the cards and books were encased, I only saw a preview of the outside but the card titles were in English. I kind of like the art style and it was cheap too. Maybe I'll get it next time I go. :)

The North American English language version of the deck/book set is called Mystic Tarot. I'd think that somewhere on the box would be the name of Mystic Meg as the concept person.
Yes, Caroline Smith is the same artist who did the Elemental Tarot deck, the Moon Oracle deck, the Oracle of the Radiant Sun deck, and a new upcoming deck.

I have the Moon Oracle which I think is wonderful. But I suppose what puts me off this deck really is Mystic Meg herself. She was somewhat of a joke over here for a while. She appeared on the National Lottery and 'played up' to the cameras. People would laugh at her and at the time no one took her at all serious. She was more of a fortune teller (or that's how she came across)

I actually like the artwork on this deck a lot, I'm a Caroline Smith fan. The pip cards are quite charming, using suit symbols of birds for Air, fountains for Water, trees for Earth and torches for Fire.
I'm interested to hear the deck is available in an inexpensive set from Barnes and Noble. I think it's a good deal. I'd recommend it for anyone who might want a non-illustrated-pip deck with very pleasant artwork.

This deck isn't on my wishlist, but I'd like to clarify something in my initial post. Based on the few card scans I've seen, the Mystic Meg deck's pips (Two to Ten of each suit) appear to have little variation between cards of the same suit other than the number of cups, swords, etc., while the Tarot de Marseille has subtle non-scenic differences between cards of the same suit. If I'm incorrect, please tell me.
