Pocket-sized Universal Waite or Universal?

I'm thinking about buying a pocket-sized deck, either Universal Waite or Universal Tarot. Which one is better in your opinion?

Other decks I'm considering are Golden Tarot and Radiant Rider-Waite, but I'll probably only buy one pocket-sized deck and the Golden.

I have no experience in other decks except the Thoth (used to have a mini-Connolly as a teen but it got lost), so is there a good book you would recommend?

I usually don't like Rider-Waite-decks but I would like to have a 'traditional' deck to use when I'm not in the mood for Thoth. The Golden Tarot is really the one I'm waiting for because I'm really picky with decks and that's the only one that has made me have the 'I-have-to-have-that-one'-feeling. :) I also like Tarot of Pague but that is too difficult to get.

I have heard that the pocket-sized Universal-Waite is too small. Is it the mini-version you are talking about? I read a review in which a woman said that all the cards scattered around upon opening... that is how small they are... like leaves on the wind!

No, I'm talking about the upcoming pocket-sized version, not the tiny one!

I can imagine that one would need pixie-hands to shuffle those tiny cards! Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I have the full size Universal Waite and the full size Universal. I plan on getting both in pocket size.
But if you only want one pocket size deck I think the Universal would be a good choice since you are already getting the Golden Rider.
The art work is fresh and different from the Rider Waite version and then you can have the fun of comparing two different decks from two different artists perspective.
I am interested in getting the Golden myself.
I'd love to know what you think when you get it.
