Choosing a Deck?

Hello everyone! I have been using The Mythic Tarot deck for years,although I consider myself still a beginner when it comes to reading them, I would like to explore another deck but I am not sure which deck to move to next. I have enjoyed the Mythic Tarot and I relate well to the deck but I am ready for something new. Anyone have any suggestions on how to choose a deck or which deck to move to next? Thanks

Hi MoonStar, If I was you, I would look at the decks here on AT http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/ and also here http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17948 where they show the whole deck. Once you have picked one you like the look of, search here to see if there are any posts on it so you can get opinions. You could always bring to life old threads to get up to date opinions. J :)

That's a big question MoonStar :) I'd start by looking at decks on aeclectic and elsewhere and see what kind of pictures attract you. If you can get a feel for what kind of deck you want: dark or fluffy bunny, themed or plain, with pictures on the pip cards or not, any particular style etc, then you could come back with a few suggestions that you like. Then we can help to a) tell you what that deck is like to work with (if we know) b) suggest other decks in a similar vein and c) help you to choose between similar decks. Otherwise, you'll just get us telling you our favourites :) Eg, I would suggest Hanson-Roberts, Whimsical and Ancestral Path, but they might be all wrong for you. All the best with your search, fh
