I just spotted this gorgeous deck while browsing. You can see the entire deck at the artist's website. He also has another deck that is Chinese oriented. Beautiful as well, but less traditional than his Fae deck. I ordered a copy for my self. I absolutely love it! I think I might have a hard time keeping my Fae loving daughter from it though! May have to order another!
Does anyone already have this deck? What do you think of it. I feel that this will be excellent for reading and admiring.
Here is the artist's site:

I have it.
The artwork is lovely, but the cardstock is basically paper.
Far too flimsy to do anything more than to admire it very, very carefully; it's like handling butterfly wings.
Although I did mention that to Mr Hoose, and he said he had been looking for a different printer/way of printing for it, so perhaps it has improved by now.

This deck had been at the top of my wish list for some time and I may have to break down and get one soon :) I do love the bright colors of it. Although I have heard that the cardstock isn't what one would wish. It sure is hard to self publish a deck as there arn't very many options for doing it without comming up with alot of money.
Does anyone have a favorite card out of this deck?

I am very dissapointed with the quality of this deck. I have paid the same amount for other self published decks and gotten much better quality.
The deck is tiny and very thin. I love the images but I can't read with this deck because the quality of it makes it useless. :(
I don't feel that I got my moneys worth.

That's a shame, Mimers. It is certainly a pretty and vibrant deck.
Even if it were on good stock, I don't think it would interest me though because of some of the changes and attitudes the deck takes. There are several major arcana changes. Hanged Man becomes Inspiration, which doesn't totally fit my conception of the 12th Major. Death becomes Night, which I can see, given the Fae theme since the fae are immortal, but again doesn't work. The Devil becoming The Heart doesn't work for me at all. I understand the fae go out of the realm of good vs. evil...God vs. Devil, however, there is a dark side to the fae as well, a mischieviousness that I don't see portrayed in this deck. My first perusal gives me that happy happy joy joy view of the fae which I don't find entirely accurate.

You could take the deck to your local print show and have it laminated for around $20-$30 so that you can atleast use it.
