A question I must have answered!
How do you shuffle this deck?!
*goes back to normal with a confused look* This deck is beautiful, I love it, but....wow, its even bigger than my Sacred Circle!
I think this will be the deck that I reserve only for myself...and yet, as I type that, I ask myself, how can I be so selfish and keep to myself such happiness and love that I feel from this deck? I opened it and was looking through the cards, after having slept with it all night. :) It just made me smile. :D
I really didn't think I was going to like it, but a friend of mine sold me the set of the cards and the hardback book for an incredibly low price ($13...wow!), and promised me that I would love it, and I do! It's such a happy little deck! I love it!

Congratulations on a lovely deck;my favourite among the Tarot decks.
I use to shuffle it by putting the cards randomly in lots of little piles, and then put them togeather again into a big pile. These are cards I fan and draw;I usually shuffle smaller decks in my hand, and draw from the top.

I moosh them around on the floor in a childlike way, then select from the swirl. Unlike how I shuffle or mix any other deck, which seems to fit my Inner Child.

The way I shuffle big decks is, I do a hand-over-hand shuffle (in other words, I hold the deck in one hand, drop some cards into the other hand, drop some more over the first pile, etc.), and instead of holding the cards by their short edges, I hold them by their long edges, so that the deck is vertical as I hold it. I hope this makes sense!

When I had this deck, I riffle-shuffled it sideways.
Now, I don't riffle-shuffle any of my decks, 'cuz I've nicked too many cards that way (horribly un-coordinated).
Now, I do the hand-over-hand technique Lee suggested.
But sideways shuffling works for big cards, as long as the cardstock is fairly flexible.
I like the swishing idea from Imagemaker....it almost makes me want to get this deck again!

Great thread, Triquetra!
I also love the Inner Child cards, but have found them very challenging to shuffle....I have been using the same method as genna, putting them into random piles and then putting them all together....but I am anxious to try Lee's suggestion....cool!
Thanks!

I swish my Victoria Regina, too--kind of like a rebellion against the Victorian strait-laced image (and we know what those Victorians were like behind closed doors).
I do the in-hand card drop for all my small decks, it's more of a meditative start to the layout.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I'm going to start hand over handing it tonight while watching Charmed. :)

I love these great big cards.
I think I usually do a side to side, and a drop into piles thing.
But then, I don't seem to be as concerned with shuffling as many here.
My Inner Child would say "Just *pick* one, I suppose!" and wonder what all the fuss was about.

I have had my eye on this deck for quite a while, but what bothers me most is that the card images and the book interpretations, which I got online, do not match.
It is like, the author interprets another set of cards altogether
I know that the creator of this deck and the artist are two different people, but I feel that they are not even on the same wavelength.
I appreciate the opinion of anyone who owns this set in this regard.
