Secret Tarots- anyone else have this?

I just purchasted the Secret Tarots from Amazon.com, and am anxiously awaiting the arrival! I have been looking for a deck with a little bit of a darker side and this one appealed to me, though I've only seen the 3 cards on Amazon- Temperance, The Tower, and Justice. I hope I am not disappointed, I have been eyeing it for a while (I also bought Tarot of the Animal Lords too, just in case, hehe. Nah really, that's just an excuse for my addiction and I know I will love the Animal Lords deck.). Does anyone else own this deck, and if you do, what do you think about it?

I usually go poking around several sites for reviews - Tarot Passages and Wicce's Tarot collection, besides here at AE and others - and the Secret is on my list. From what I've seen, I like it. It's like the Mage: The Ascension, all grown up and sophisticated and intelligent, and to me, the Secret Tarot carries a lot of the same energy as the Vertigo, only less "cracked-out". :) I'd have it by now, but I'm scouring for a decent price on the Dante... I used to hate neo-futurist/modern art, but something in the Dante carries a lot of spirit in it. Illy

Nice choice, it's on my wish list. It has more Marseille symbolism than alot of modern decks, and Nizzolo can paint. I formerly didn't want it because of a few offbeat cards like the 5 of Coins (a woman getting her picture taken).

Hello Jypsie, The Secret is a wonderful and extremely fascinating deck. I don't have it yet but I've seen a lot of the cards already and am going to purchase it soon. I talked a lot to Lunakasha over the last couple of days and she also wants to get it soon and then we would like to start a study group. Are you in? :)

I got it last week and I adore it! I've been using it, and the Cosmic deck, regularly and love them both. There are definitely some different "takes" on the cards, but I've gotten great readings off it! It just gives me such an "oooohhh" feeling!

I love this deck, I use it primarily in readings for myself. It has some gorgeous cards and a great moody/dark/sexy tone.

I saw on the Lo Scarabeo web site that this deck is now available in a miniature version. Perfect for concealing in a tiny evening bag along with cigarette holder and vial of poison. I haven't seen it in real life, if it is as small as the mini Lupatelli-Doyle Fairy tarot it might be too small for the artwork. Especially as this is a deck where the artwork contains much that is not there. --Myrrha

I was lucky to get this deck from Amazon's at 20% off a while back, which I see that it's been back to its original price since . Although I use it sparingly, because of the many other decks I have, I think it deserves more respect. What with the mysterious images that are just so intriguing and beautiful.....! Maybe I should read with it more often.

ooohhh... that would be SO cool! urgh.. I just ordered a mini-Universal b/c I needed a mini deck to carry with me... ghrr... wonder how 'mini' it will be?

Hey Jypsie!!!! YAY....I am so happy you've got your Secret deck!!!! :D :D :D I am still trying to scrape up some money for mine (tough times) but should have it around the end of the month.....hoping like crazy! :P I don't see any reason why you can't go ahead and get started...like I said before, I would be very interested in participating as much as I can in the meantime....would hate to hold people up for another month. :( (((Darla)))--I haven't forgotten about you, my dear!!!! I have had a VERY busy week, but I do want to spend time with the lovely pics you sent me and discuss them with you.....:D Maybe we could start the group by studying some of the pics that Darla and I already have???? Just found this one in my local shop. I couldn't believe there was a copy here in my own town and I missed it! I've been looking for it for a couple of weeks now (apparently the last couple of times I was in, it was hiding in the case under another deck ..... I hate it when that happens). Anyway, at first glance I love it! Some of the LS decks are so nice because I feel like each card tells a more intricate story. The LS LWBs are usually crap, but the cards themselves are often very readable. Dan

I agree, Dan.....there is something very special about the Secret cards and other LoS decks....like you mentioned, a hidden story that you have to figure out for yourself. I am also interested in the LoS Casanova deck, which also looks a bit mysterious to me....I love it!!! :P I look forward to getting both of these decks within the next couple of weeks....and getting busy with this study group! :) Luna
