Partly inspired by dolphinprincess's threads (which decks do you read for others with, which do you save for yourself?) & partly by having just purchased Osho Zen, after spending some time perusing old threads (on O.Z.) . . . I have a new question: Which decks do you consider to be 'spiritual', first & foremost?
*Punchinella darts beneath the desk momentarily to avoid flying turnips*
--I know, I know, all decks are spiritual because Tarot is spiritual. But do you have a particular deck or decks that you avoid using for everyday questions? Maybe a deck that you reserve for meditation, or spiritual realignment readings . . . something that you love, but that maybe doesn't even work for everyday readings???
Personally, I used to feel this way about Haindl. Now--I'm not so sure.
--I'll be very interested to read your responses--

[edit: oops--eek--i put this thread in talking tarot (along with dolphinprincess's threads) but i really meant to put it in tarot decks. oh no! --what can i do???]

I know what you mean...there are certain decks that seem better at confronting spiritual issues, or always seem to respond with a more spiritual answer.
My spiritual decks are the Animal-Wise and the Star That Never Walks Around.
Also, of course, the Healing With the Angels Oracle.

The Osho Zen tarot always seems really spiritual to me. I use this deck the same way as I use my Healing with the Angels oracle cards - I shuffle then take a couple of cards out and read them. I've never done a spread with it. But yes the Osho Zen feels really spiritual.

I use the Osho Zen in regular spreads, but for learning the underlying spiritual lessons and intents in a situation. It helps me see beyond the "every day."

Osho Zen here too. I find it very meditative, just to draw a few cards. I too rarely use it for an entire spread.

I find that my Thoth is very spiritual. I have a very deep connection with it... at times so deep that I almost become one with the imagery.
Other than that, I also feel that the Rider-Waite is a better deck for my spiritual-readings.
I dunno. Interesting thread.

I think Osho Zen too, and Inner Child Cards, and Roots of Asia, Tarot of the Spirit, and probably all of my Oracle cards.
Mari, I love the Buddha deck - ah!..... one day.....

For me, it would probably be the Osho Zen....this is the *best* deck I have used so far as a tool for meditation or working on spiritual or personal growth issues....they are just incredible when used in this way. I prefer not to use them in "traditional" tarot spreads because, to me, they are more about dealing with the here and now, and working through issues than as a divinatory tool...but that is just my opinion, of course! As you said, all tarot decks are considered by most to be "spiritual" tools or guides...but for me the Osho Zen is in a class by itself! And although I have not worked with it yet, I would imagine that the Tao Oracle (also illustrated by Ma Deva Padma) would be effective for the same reasons....

The Tarot of Transformation by Willow Arlenea and Jasmin Lee Cori is very spiritual to me. That's the one deck in my collection that comes to mind. It's very deep. I'll edit this post if I think of another one. :)

My Marteau Tarot de Marseille and my Lo Scarabeo Conver Tarot de Marseille. They're free from modern-day overlays of other people's interpretations and symbolisms, freeing me to see the naked tarot for itself.

Agreed! I love this deck. It can be very accurate for all kinds of readings, but it's not one that I use very often, simply because it feels like something that should be kept secret at times. It's a very "quiet" deck, but very wise.

The deck of the moment will always be my spiritual deck.
I like to connect deeply with the deck before I attempt to read with it. Otherwise it won't give me accurate readings.
I had been reconnecting recently with my Quest Tarot and thus it is one for me at the moment, i.e until further notice .
However, my all time favorite which gives me very insightful readings whenever I do a spread with it is definitely The Spiral Tarot.

I find that the Tarot of the Spirit deck is true to its name, and provides very spiritual interactions and reverberations. TOS always puts me in a calm, ethereal, mystical state, perfect for spiritual reflection.
