Does anyone know of a deck that is based on the stories of the Old Testament? The only decks I could find relating to the Bible were of the New testament.

There is an unpublished majors-only tarot deck titled the Jewish Tarot. Apparently the minors are still in progress. It is based on Jewish traditions and Jewish Kaballah. Looking at the pictures, it looks like it is drawn, at least in part, from Old Testament Bible stories.

Yeah, I know, I was the one who brought it to the forum. But I was thinking along the lines of RWS or something like that except in bible stories.

Closrapexa, I am looking for a deck like this, too. I really wish the Jewish Tarot were available, with or without pips. The only decks I'm familiar with having to do with the Tree of Life are Hermetic/Golden Dawn, Christian-influenced, and I would dearly love to find a Jewish Kabbalistic-oriented deck. I wrote to Jeannette at Tarot Garden, and she is not aware of any. I hope that the young man who created the Jewish Tarot will find a publisher for his wonderful deck. In the meantime, I don't know of any decks that even make serious (and that is the operative word) use of illustrations drawn from the Jewish Bible.

the soul tidings truth cards. (they say it is not a tarot, even the makers,
but i looked at it and it is a tarot with added 6 cards )
the master tarot,
the master tarot is based on christ life,
while the major arcana of the soul tidings cards are based on both the old and new testment and the minor arcana puts the teachings into the modern world.
the master tarot minor arcana is based on 40 phrases that he said.
they are both on aeclectic for pictures if you like to search for them.

A deck like that might be interesting, if there was one . The crossing if the Red Sea could be Judgement, Naomi could be the Empress, David the Emperor, and so forth.

Daniel-Strength
John the Baptist-The Hermit
Solomon-Justice
Tower of Babel-The Tower

I think Jericho would make a very interesting Tower.
Esther as the star?
Moses as the Chariot? Or perhaps as the magician... although Solomon might make a better magician. Though Solomon would probably be good as justice.
Jacob as Strength?
Daniel as the moon?
Job as Temperance?

and
http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/soul-tidings-truth-cards/
i like to offer this as well,
tarot and the journey of the hero
calls the magican the heavenly father (instead of the heavenly son others call it ) and the high priestress the heavenly mother (which would in this case be godess or earth angel gia )
so that must make the fool the sun ,,
how can the son become before the father,
well he can't,,
but in the tarot , it is about the fool journey in north america , and so we come down here and first thing we deal with is the heavenly father, and heavenly mother,,
and think of it,,
as baby wouldn't it be possible that even though we are getting hugged and loved by the parents,
we are recieving constant communciations from the heavenly father and mother ,,
and isn't we lose our ignorance of the world that we lose it ?
and so the next learning concepts becomes the earthly father , the emperor and the earthly mother the emperess..
and the emperess is more important here in old times for it was she who spent all the time with the children until recent times.

A bible tarot would actually be awesome. Being catholic myself, the only really useful deck on the market is Tarot of the Saints, and it would be nice to have another christian- themed deck to whip out when people start tellling me how pagan and satan worshipping i am to shut them up. Although I don't have a saint deck yet.... (please note that i am not dissing pagans, my best friends are wiccan. However, i do not like being branded as one when i am in fact, christian. So don't flame me!)
