So, I've been asking this before but is it available yet?
I've seen the deck on Amazon.com and amazon.ca but there's no mention in the U.S. Games site and the bookstores I normally use here don't have any info on such edition.
Universal Waite Pocket Edition
by Mary Hanson-Roberts
Hardcover
Publisher: United States Games Systems; (February 2004)
ISBN: 1572814748
There seems to be a german version by Koenigsfurt available here already but although I've studied german for several years, I'd still like to get the english version.
P.S. If anyone knows when the mini Visconti is released, let me know!

Is that the same as the one in the "Tarot-To-Go" kit?

I think the Tarot to Go kit has the Hanson-Roberts. Wow, that sentence is confusing! What I mean is, the Hanson-Roberts Tarot deck and not the Universal Waite deck by Hanson-Roberts.

I know there's a pocket Universal Tarot (the one put out by LS), but I don't know about a pocket-size Universal Waite. One of the nice things about Lo Scarabeo is they publish a fairish amount of small decks for those of us with gnomish hands.

*edited to add: I was wrong. There is a tiny Universal Waite, and Joan Bunning offers it for sale through her web site. Here are the specs:
---tiny deck - (13/16" X 1 3/8").....$5.00
---tiny deck in plastic case on a keychain - (13/16" X 1 3/8").....$7.00

I've seen a mini universal waite as a keyring. The deck is inside a container that hooks onto your keyring.

I've got the mini Universal without the keyring - I can't use this tiny little deck, its just too small. I've got postage stamps that are bigger lol.

The pocket Universal Waite is not the same as the Tiny one!! That's why I'd like to get it, I don't think the tiny one would be of much use..

I think it was discussed a while back that the "Tiny" Universal Waite would be useful if you wanted to do a diorama with Barbies! I would like to have the "Pocket" Universal Waite. (The "Tiny" size could be nice to put in a journal on the page of the card you were writing about.)

The pocket Universal Waite Tarot ist available now ... at least in Germany. I got it via amazon.de two weeks ago and i like it very much. The size of the cards is 5,2 cm x 8,9 cm (2.05'' x 3,51'') and the titles are in german.

Srose, what do you think about it? Is it worth getting? I might consider it because I love small decks. Is it published by Koenigsfurt?

Hi Aure,
yes it`s definitly worth it. the size is ideal to carry with you where ever you go. The card stock is nearly like LS ones, the cards are only a bit smoothier. But it`s easy to shuffle. And yes, it`s from Koenigsfurt (with a LWB from Hajo Banzhaf).
I`m really happy to have it because I have always looked for a small and beautiful RW clone for to go. When I had opened the deck and looked through the cards I had felt that finally I had found my deck for "outside".
Compared with the Tarot To Go Kid with the Hanson-Roberts Tarot deck the cards from the HR deck are a little bit smaler and the colours are a little bit sturdier than the new Pocket Universal Waite deck ones. The quality of the card stock from the Pocket Universal Waite is better than the HR ones.
If you consider it and love small decks than go for it. You will love it. :-)

Damn you srose :D I just pre-ordered the Bohemian Cats, got the Druid Animal Oracle, and now you just had to add another deck to my wishlist ;p
I've got very small hands, so a pocket sized tarot deck that I can carry and shuffle easily would be absolutely wonderful, not to mention I wouldn't mind letting other people touch them since it's not like they're about to go OOP or anything :)

I just saw the Universal Waite pocket deck in a bookstore and couldn't resist it! :D Now I finally have a Rider-Waite deck and the coloring in the Universal is the only one I like. The size is really perfect, especially if you like to take a deck with you outside. Although I'm German I usually prefer decks with English titles but as I said, I couldn't resist! :D
