Morning guys--
I just logged in and noticed the new deck of the week-- the Secret Tarot. It's a rather good looking take on the theme, but...
I find the border full of its title in multiple languages terribly distracting. I'm one who will chop off a border to get to the picture at times-- and that's a simple white one.
In fact, there have been other decks I haven't gotten because of this. I don't want to buy a deck that I KNOW I'll have to take borders off.
Anyone else have difficulties with this?
fly well

~giggles remembering the first time Ravenswing cut the borders off a deck~ I prefer decks that do not have all the languages on them, and if possible without borders, but if the artwork of the deck trully speaks to me I can live with them, the Fey by LS is a prime example. On the other hand, the I Am One tarot gets lost in the words. I totally understand where you are coming from, I just don't have the nerve to "trim" my decks.

It's mainly the decks by Lo Scarabeo that have this distracting feature. Perhaps if enough people mentioned it to Riccardo, the company would consider dropping this feature in future printings.

I'm with you guys on this one. That border is a big "DON'T BUY THIS" sign to me. No matter how enthralled I am with the art and everything else, if I see that border, I don't buy the deck at all. It's just so annoying. And I don't like that Lo Scarabeo cards are so small--I mean, they are, by my standards. Okay, enough rambling. lol

Hi,
Border's don't distract me..most of the time I don't notice them. I actually kinda like the idea of seeing the title in different languages..
Like I said I'm the "odd man (woman) out" on this one..
Bright blessings,
CJ

I'm with cj on this one! I like seeing the names of the card in different languages - I think it adds to the mystery and the 'music' of the card. Gives them a kind of richness, imho.
