Versions of the Ancient Egyptian Tarot

I just found this deck still sealed in a secondhand store. It comes in a 4.5" by 6.5" box, and in the box is the deck, a small book and a journal. Is this the version that is available now? Does anyone know if the journal is blank or like a workbook? thank you --Myrrha

I've seen the Celtic Tarot by Helena Patterson in the 'new version' with a journal and the deck cards are exactly the same as the old version. The book was resized to fit in the new format, but was essentially the same text. Best wishes, Cerulean

The set with the journal is the new set. I don't know if there are any differences between the cards from the new set and the old but I do like the idea of the journals to go along with the decks :)

Thank you all for the answers. I don't know if I will use this deck or trade it on... the journal is a neat idea though, and I like that it all fits into a little very sturdy box that can sit on a shelf, rather than the larger flimsy cardboard outer packages most sets come in. --Myrrha

Well wow thats sounds like the latest edition of the ancient egyptian tarot (i think), i have 3 sets of it and brought this one only last year because for the same price as the older edition you get a box to put the cards in, a blank journal to record your readings, and the instruction book, the only difference is that the book in the this edition is slightly smaller than the one in the older edition and the illustrations of the cards in the instruction book are only about half the size, but the cards themselves are exactly the same, size quality and everything. sounds like you could be on the verge of getting a good bargain. blessings crystal dawn
