I feel that the Shapeshifter gets to the point. Yet, my Rider-Waite does not fool around either. I think it all depends on the situation. --Tao

Funny enough the Whimsical is so brutially honest that I don't use it often for that reason. Sometimes A girl just wants some sugar coating lol

Tarot of the Origins, it's sort of like being bludgeoned with a brick.

For me, it's got to be the Crowley deck. It had been sitting in my closet for a year, then one day just started "calling" to me. I pulled it out, shuffled a bit, and drew three cards:
The Tower, The Hanged Man, and The Fool.
BAM! It wasn't long after that that my terminally ill father passed away, and I have to say that it took a year to play out these energies.
Yep. That's the deck I pull out when I want a reading to get straight to the point.

EarthAngel,
I would have to agree with you, and state the Thoth. Add to that the Victoria Regina.
Sorry to hear about your father. I hope that you managed to cope during that difficult time. :(

The Osho Zen is notorious.
It constantly makes fun of you. No, it doesnt have a mind of it's own. Just the way the archetypes are centered around the new interpretations for the cards. In some ways it throws the traditional meanings totaly out the window and creates entirely new archetypes. Perfect example is "no-thingness". It doesnt relate to the heirophant at all yet somehow it makes sense and it needs to be there as far as Zen goes.
Anyway...
Some examples of being made fun of are "Laziness", "The Mind", "Turning In", etc... The reason this deck is so brilliant is because it always places a smile on your face no matter what it tells you...
