No, there is no "Peter Max Tarot". If there was, I'd run, not walk, to my nearest store or online ordering. BUT, here is his website:

http://www.petermax.com/

How many agree with me, upon seeing his art, that a Peter Max Tarot would be as close to tarot Heaven as anyone could get??? Well, that is if you are a fan of his artwork and psychedelic art in general. How about we all email him and ask him.. PLEAD with him.. to create a tarot deck! :) Seriously!

The mixtures of colors and psychodelics are truly intoxicating. The deck would be a work of art. --Tao

Sunflowr: Funny (in a good way) to see this thread & to visit the website again as I was thinking the same thing. & remembering a Peter Max calendar of many years ago.

Btw: I like the Diamond Tarot for its "psychelic art".

Or how about a Rodger Dean tarot. :)

Yes, the Diamond Tarot is about as close to a Peter Max-ish type look as we can get until and if he listens to us and creates a deck. ;) I emailed him and asked him about it! :) I told him to visit this thread.. so maybe he will and will get inspired! :) ps: I think I too had a Peter Max calendar years ago.

Peter Max's work influenced the artist of the Diamond Tarot! I think the psychodelics of this deck give it a special flavor.--Tao

OOooo Roger Dean cards...cool idea Dolphingirl...

Peter Max would remind me of grade school...but Roger Dean...that was my time in San Francisco...

Take the water to the mountain;
Take the river to the sea.
Let the forest be salvation
Long before it needs to be.

Take the water to the mountain;
Let your body flow upstream.
Let it cascade off your shoulders;
Be the body of your dreams.

Take the water to the mountain;
Let the sun shine on your ground.
You decide your every movement;
Let the water to the land.

Take the water to the mountain;
Cross the Great Divide of Love.
Give to Nature all you can give;
Let the Mother know your heart.

Take the water to the mountain;
Let's become alive again.
Holy water, holy mountain,
Holy river, holy tree.

Pica!

In total agreement Dolphingirl and Umbrae--

Peter Max was the great bit of art in grade school and jr high. We copied him all over the place.

But Dean...

Mystical Majickal Places...

Well, we can dream.

There are SOOO many products and merchandise that depict the artwork of Peter Max (I myself, have a cool psychedelic sauce pan!)
I think a tarot would be very intriguing...and I would buy one without even thinking about it!

A psychedelic sauce pan? How cool is that! :)

A Peter Max Tarot would be quite fun, wouldn't it?

That sounds like a rock group from the 70's! LOL--Tao
