Rohrig 1995 vs Rohrig 2000

Hello, Amazon carries two versions of the Rohrig deck, one is out of stock (the most recent one), the other is in stock (the 1995 version). They don t have the same publisher. Does one of you know the differences between the two, if any ? Thanks by advance, Arnaud

The version I have is dated 1995 and published by Bluestar which is the English language publisher. I believe the deck was originally in German with at least one 'slight' difference in that the hanged man was completely naked (he's covered up in my deck :) ) I don't know what this new edition can be though, unless they have just changed publisher. I think Namaste has a German version of the deck, maybe she can help. If I find any further information on my searches I will come back to this thread. Meanwhile, it's good to see that you are interested in the deck. Its' my favourite one (at the moment :) )

Just a thought! Are you sure they are both decks? The Rohrig book came out way after the cards, could it be the book that is out of stock?

I didn't realise it was difficult to get hold of! It may be worth you emailing Jeannette at Tarot Garden in case they hear of one (none there at the moment though - I have checked) Or post a 'Wanted' thread in the trading forum?

I have just received an email from Barne & Noble with a shipping ID ;-D YES !! It is now on the way ! Out of curiosity, i went back to B&N site, and it is now "out of stock". I probably ordered one of the last copy they had at this moment. Soon it will be here ... my preeeeciouuuus :-) Arnaud

I have the same deck as Moonbow* -- 1995 Bluestar English version. I ordered it last year from the local metaphysical shop. I love the beautiful artistry, but am not so keen on the keywords. I am still, after a year, developing a connection with this deck.

The key words are not what I care to use with the cards. They communicate more through meditation.--Tao

Hi people, The deck I have is published by Bluestar and the ISBN is 1- 885394-08-X - its not the one with full nudity. The book is also published by Bluestar and its ISBN 1-885394-18-7 Hope this helps, I remember being confused by Amazon when ordering my deck and book and it was only by checking the ISBN numbers on other sites that I managed to get a book and deck and not two decks or two books. :)
