sacred path & vision quest tarots...?

I would like to know your opinion on these two native american decks. they both attract me very much but don't know..... any comments? yaraluna

I love them both. It should be noted that Sacred Path is an oracle deck with, I believe, 33 cards. Can someone verify? It's not a tarot deck. I love the VQ, and look to it for answers and clarity on very personal issues. What you should do is search this forum for these titles to read other threads that exist.

I have the Vision Quest (as you know SongDeva - I hold you personally responsible). I agree it is a beautiful deck and I have only done one reading with it. I have the vision quest and love it. It has lovely images with nature themes and I love the colours of the deck - warm but not too bright. But more important: it is not my main deck but when I use it I often get very clarifying readings. There is no big companion book for this deck, but the little white book is bigger than the average lwb and well written. So you get deck+book for the price of a deck - makes it good value too !

Aaaah, Vision Quest . . . (I love this deck). I would recommend it to anybody. There are some major threads already on this deck (including one very contentious thread :| ) If I were you I'd definitely do a search! In spite of the fact that I'm now a Marseilles 'convert', I still love & use Vision Quest. I like using it in combination with another deck. The non-peopled minor cards speak, but do not shout (a la RWS). VQ is a Thoth clone, but so much more appealing imo. I can't stand the Thoth deck actually, but VQ is something else altogether. I don't know anything about Sacred Path :)

I have the Sacred Path. It was my first deck of any kind. Unfortunately, I haven't used it in a number of years, and it's in need of some dusting off. I remember that it had a very soft energy about it. Last weekend I attended a pow-wow, and a few weeks ago took part in a sweat lodge for the first time in 4 years, so I guess it's time to reacquaint myself with this deck.
