Does anyone use the tarot of the Hidden Folk as their primary deck? I just bought because I love the queen of cups! But there are some crazy cards - like the fool! What a weirdo!
Anyway I was just wondering who uses it?

That Fool is bizarre.
I have this deck, but haven't used it yet. I'm not so crazy about the minors.
The Queens are gorgeous, though. I bought this deck for the Temperance card....wowie!

just got this deck last night and was laughing and laughing at the wonderful characters!
the deck i got was in its early incarnation and called " the tarots of the golden dawn" (by gaudenzi). later it was called " the enchanted tarot" and now, not to be confused with the other enchanted tarot, has been renamed"the tarot of the hidden folk"

This is now on my wishlist as a serious contender with the Tarot of the Gnomes. *grins*

There seems to be a wave of these decks landing in out hands-
I too got just got this deck and absolutly love it.
But- I was noticing that astrological symbols on the courts- the Queen of Cups has Gemini, I think Aries is on the King of Pentacles. I wonder what the intended connection is supposed to be.

My deck has given me incredible readings but I really must trash the LWB I don't think that it has anything to do with the meanings. The meanings in that stupid LWB are so far off the map from the traditional meanings. For example in my reading last night I had the 7 of pentacles, which is a card I really like being a gardener. And I have always interpreted it positivly but to them it is incomplete sucess.

Indeed a confusing card.
The Swedish Witch Tarot says it's financial loss, failiure, ventures gone wrong (the image is a withering tree with bare branches except for the pentacles, of which the top one is crying).
Other decks say that while it can be a challenge, if you are prepared to do the work it will pay off, which rhymes better with the general meaning of the 7:th card.
(Basically taking a stand, stealing away what you can salvage to regain strength aka "the strategy card" and wishful thinking, dreaming up and making plans.)

This is the deck I learned with, and yet I never noticed the astrological symbols! LOL! Thanks for pointing them out!

I saw the scans on Tarot Garden, and I noticed that the 4 of Pentacles there is way different from the 4 of Pentacles in my deck. In the Tarot Garden version, there's a little elf hiding in a sack. In mine, there's a dwarf ironing the clothes...O_o

This was discussed in earlier threads so I'll link to at least one below...in that thread there's a link to the full deck scans for the Italian version.
My Hidden Folk is the English language version with English booklet from my local Borders.
The Italian version is Alba Dorata, which I ordered from an online source and is smaller--has a prettier Chariot card, in my opinion and only two of the minors are decorated, I think, the aces and fours?
Here's the first thread on this that I added to recently:
http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=24656&perpage=10&highlight=alba%20dorata&pagenumber=1
I like both decks, but prefer the Italian one.
