Hi everyone ~
(Moderators, I'm not sure if this thread belongs in Decks or in Books, so please move it as you wish)
Does anyone know if this is a new set by Nigel Jackson or just a repackaging? <http://www.llewellyn.com/bookstore/book.php?pn=J581>. The description implies the deck as we know it, but maybe the book is new??
All opinions of the deck and/or the set appreciated ... I've been thinking about this deck for awhile now and looked at old threads, but maybe you've some new thoughts about it. (and the price is right! :D )

Looks like the same deck and book, but they have added a black organza bag. (I would have gone blue on this one myself..)
Even without the bag, the set is very nice and the book is definitely worth reading .

Looks the same with a new box to me. Have to agree I'd have gone with a blue bag too.
I really like that deck, I must like it... I haven't traded it yet! LOL If the price is right, then go for it!

This looks like the same deck but a bag thrown in for good measure. I think I agree that it really would have been better blue. It looks like a great price for a kit.--Tao

Thanks everyone !
Since I've been eyeying this one for awhile, even tho it's not my usual taste in artwork. Found the set w/o bag for same price, but can really use a bag so I'll wait! Eager for October now :)
Am curious to read what he has to say about numbers.

Tarot Garden's new releases page says it is a repackaging.

Nigel Jackson, born in 1963, lives in Manchester, England and is a well-known artist and illustrator specializing in the symbolism of Western Esoteric Tradition: he is deeply immersed in the traditional Tarot of 15th century Lombardy, the magical teachings of medieval-renaissance astrological philosopher-magi such as Ficino, Agrippa and Bruno and the talismanic Image-Magic of the Moorish-medieval current exemplified in the fabled grimoire the Picatrix.

Lionette - I highly recommend this deck - especially if you like the watercolor designs. This is a beautiful deck! I enjoy using it for readings and also for meditation. Post here if you get it and let us know what you think!
Fulgour - thanks for sharing that link!

Fulgour - thanks for sharing that link! The book that is included as part of the set (that solid box design) was difficult for me at first, as I was still learning the basics. And though now I have formed various of my own ideas, Nigel Jackson was a wonderful inspiration. Victorian magicians cared more about their turbans than tarocchi, and yet had such a great impact. In 143 compact pages, Jackson covers a lot of solid ground, and puts himself right in the middle of it, openly and honestly.

Thanks Fulgour for link and more info on Nigle Jackson. I'm encouraged to buy the set after knowing that there's much more behind the light watercolor art. Eager to read his book and see the whole deck!
I'll report back, when it arrives -- don't think I can wait until October ;)
