Something different:

The artist is Robert Cadot and I found it on tarotgarden.com and here (linking directly to scans):

Do any of our Canadian or French-reading members have the deck and book or just the deck?

I see the book is available via Amazon.com.ca.

Many gorgeous decks are coming out...I'm curious about other's take on this idea...

Another deck that has colored majors and B&W minors is the Tarot Uranai by Shigeyuki Ozawa and "Will." Pix available here:

These kind of decks always make me wonder if the artist started with high ambitions, and then just got tired after a while and decided to save some time by not "coloring" all 78 cards...

I several decks with French titles. The art is exquisite. The black and white minors are an interesting concept. I do not own this deck but it may be a possible addition. Thanks for sharing. I will look forward to seeing if anyone uses this deck.--Tao

I'd want to colour them in. :)

I got this deck several years ago off ebay, but it's without the book. I'll have to check out amazon.ca to get it, as I really like the cards.

I do wish they were all colored, as the black and white ones are so densely drawn as to be hard to decipher -- a little color might help a person focus on particular elements.

My French is poor, though, so maybe this will be a good way to brush up!

Peace,

Melvis

Here's my rough translation:

Abebooks.com
The book is available from 8.00 (U.S.) from a Quebec bookstore without the cover and 180 pages, a library copy.

There's a 17.00 version with colored cover and first edition on abebooks.com. Note that the first edition says there are illustrations in color, as well as black and white illustrations--which is more descriptive than the Amazon.com description.

Amazon.com.ca
There's a price range up to 23.00 with a Tarotkado title search, but be aware that 'jeu' to me means cards. I think the book is the 190 page description.

Hope that helps.

I am going to await and check the 17 page booklet...I took advantage of a ten percent discount off of Tarotgarden.com to order the cards when my special preorder came in.

I think I'm pleased to find a new author/artist and rather than order the Spiral or Celestial by Kay Steventon, I'll check out this one...it's available, colorful and the illustration quality is very nice to me.

By the way, everyone, thank you for all the replies! I am getting this for illustation study. The majors are beautiful and there's really a fine quality to the illusted minors. So even if they are black and white, there's a distinct feeling. I think Punchinella has it on her wishlist as well and she likes gorgeous illustrations with an old fashioned quality.

Cerulean Mari

Ditto for me. These are beautiful Mari. I'm going to buck the trend and say that I wish the whole deck was in black and white. It reminds me very much of the Tarot ReVISIONed that I just bought from Jeannette.

Although I see Melvis's point, becasue the T.R. is also very dense and it's a bit hard to discern the elaborate details. I really dislike the way the Majors are coloured in this deck though, so wouldn't buy it. Each to his own!

Nice of you to post it Mari, it's lovely artwork nonetheless.
