hi yaraluna,
do you mean the blue moon tarot, that was recently republished? if so, it is a tarot deck made up of the 22 major arcana only.

If you are, indeed, referring to the recently reissued Majors-only Blue Moon tarot, then the answer is yes -- the artist, Julie Cuccia-Watts, also designed the 78-card tarot Ancestral Path tarot (with illustrated pips). It's one of my favorite decks.

I am confused about some seemingly conflicing informatin about this deck.
In this review it is a full 78 card deck, but here it is a majors only 22 card deck.
So, which one is it?

The blurb on the first link does say (erroneously) that the deck has been expanded to 78 cards, but the review linked to that page states the case clearly: the Blue Moon has been reissued as a Majors-only deck whose sales will support future work by Cuccia-Watts.

I just received this deck this morning, and it was a wonderful way to be woken up indeed!
It's only 22 cards with the accompanying Large Little White Book (think Mary-el style... Not the usual size, not a full-blown hand-book. Somewhere in between...) but it's well worth the price you pay for it ($50).
A beautiful deck (do you really expect anything else from Julia Cuccia-Watts?) with an ingenious, new idea that'll keep you busy studying it for hours. Every card corresponds either to one of the thirteen Full Moons of the year or to one of the eight Pagan festivals. What is really interesting about the deck is that not only can you study it in the traditional Fool's Journey way (from Fool to World) but you can also study it in the Way of the Year, beginning in the Full Moon in Aries, and ending in The Blue Moon. Great for coming to new insights both about the Tarot and the cycle of the year.
What also pleased me about this deck was that it doesn't clone other decks: the imagery really is entirely original, and often shows a different take on the cards. It also manages to get across both the card meanings and the symbolism of the time of year associated with them.
The backs are the only disappointment: they are plain white card. I would have loved to see a back for this deck. :( Other than that, the deck itself is very well made: good, sturdy yet flexible card stock, manageable card size, sheen on the cards, clear colours... :D
I shall be spending a lot of time with this deck!
Blessings,
Kiama

Kiama, there was another recent thread on this deck that you might want to dig up, including comments from others who have received it recently (including myself).
I know what you mean about the card backs. I do have another deck with matte black backs which I find really neat, so I'm trying to consider these white backs another interesting option. I'll see how it goes. I wonder if it was a calculated choice?

This is from Julie's website:
Julie is currently working on a new tarot deck called,MAAT Tarot which is really expanding The Blue Moon Tarot into a 78 card deck. Rather than making a minor arcana 3'x4' Julie decided to start all over and perhaps even improve upon Blue Moon. See for yourself...
For the Maat deck is seems as if Julie has reworked many of the cards from the Blue Moon. I far as I can tell about a third of the Major Arcana cards are basically unchanged. Most of the rest still resemble their counterpart in the Blue Moon tarot. The Maat deck is a 78 card deck.
Her website is www.newmoontradingco.com You can see the cards there.
