Hahaha... well I was down to one *shock* having just decided to get rid of all but one deck (Legend:Arthurian). and now I am up to 15 .. this is the most I ever owned. I stayed with the same 4 decks for 8 years, and I felt like I was a glutton...hehehe (I was crazed .. and in a slump...*Forvige her she knows not what she does*) I quickly recovered my senses when I finally decided to stop being a voyeur here and join. Now I have what I consider a "petite" collection at 15 deck compared to many other collections here. I also no longer feel like a glutton :D:D

I had three decks. And I'd just bought the other two a month before. My original Aquarian, my Glow in the Dark R-W-S, and a new RWS. I did an online search to find a site to look at what decks were available - because I wanted a new deck, and the RWS just wasn't cutting it for me. Many decks later....;)

Even though I just joined, I think I remember saying I had three. Soon after I joined, I started buying more, so I'm currently up to number seven. :) This place helped me kill my checking account. LOL

Only one: RWS, published by Samuel Weiser. No, do not know how many decks I have since I trade or give away decks. Not particularly organized nor are they kept neatly in one place, either.

I had two: the RWS I started with, and the giant majors only Lovers Tarot. I don't live in a good area to just "find decks". Since joining Aeclectic, I have gone to almost 50, most I bought over the Internet.

I'm not sure, I voted 7-9, but now less than a year after joining AT I have over 50. It's an AT plot . . . (edited to fix the omitted phrase that actually made the posting make sense. Writing too early in the morning!)

I started here with about 4-7 decks, but was interested in buying more because I was still searching for the deck for me back then. The reason I hadn't become a collector by that point was quite simply that I had only just started a job (part-time whilst I was at college) so I only just had money to buy decks! From there on I became a collector, and 3 and a half years later I have 180 decks. Kiama

I only had 1 Deck. Currenlty I have 3 and an Oracle Deck. Not so bad for almost 6 months... And I don't think I will be buying many more.

I had 8 decks, now I have around 90 including oracles! I didn't mean to turn into a collector!!! I had back then: RWS - gave away URW - still have Hanson Roberts - traded away and now have again Legend - traded Osho Zen - still have Ancestral Path - still have World Spirit - still have Old English - still have

I only had 2 decks when I joined, although at one point I own another deck, but I gave it to my daughter before I bought a replacement. I had Lord of the Rings tarot, which I gave to Brit. I also had RWS and Visconti Gold......now I am up to like 27 or 28 decks....

I put down 2, thinking that I had the RWS and the Robin Wood. But at that time I had ditched the RWS though I have since re-acquired it. So, one of those 2's should be a 1.

I had only one tarot deck when I came here (plus a Tarot de Marseille, but I was persuaded at that time that I had burned it) and a dozen oracles. I was looking to buy two more at that moment: The Gothic Tarot (Vargo) and the Old English Tarot. I have since gotten these decks and many more. I have now 20 tarot decks and 20 oracles; and 15 more in my tarot wishlist and 5 more in my oracle wishlist. I have become a tarotholic, that's for sure, and maybe a small collector. I'm quite happy personally to have so many decks, but I don't think that I'll ever have a big collection: I'm difficult to please. My mother in the other hand doesn't understand my collector lust: she has been using the same deck for 25-30 years. Still, there are some tarot decks I have that she likes very much and she's glad I have them, understand I couldn't resist them: The Golden Tarot, The Light and Shadow Tarot, The Bosch Tarot, The Crystal Tarot, The Faery Wicca Tarot and The Inner Child Tarot.

When I found Aeclectic Tarot in late 2001, I had 5 decks. When I actually joined a few days ago, I had 12. I'll get more, but I think I'll be in the 10-19 range for a while.

When I first found aeclectic tarot I owned 4 tarot decks, The Enchanted, Universal Waite, Medicine Woman, and Motherpeace. Now I have :| close to 70 decks , and I blame this place :rolleyes: !

when I first started posting I had at least 73 decks, and looking back, that was an astronomical amount of money! But now I have wittled it down to a happy ten decks, the ones I just can't part with.

I can't believe it! How do you keep track of them all? I used to find my decks in the strangest places. They would fall on my head from the top shelf of my closet! That's when I knew I had way too many.

Well... 10 minutes ago I would've said "1". But posting my answer to the "what was the first deck you bought?" thread helped me to remember that I had both the RWS and the Grimmaud Tarot of Marseilles decks. I'm up to about 15 or so now... :eek:

I had one deck. Had it for years, was content to have only a single deck. Then one day my bassett decided to have a tarot deck doggie snack. I ran across AT while looking to replace my deck. The local shop was out of the Legend Arthurian and wasn't planning to place another order for a while. That was nearly a year and a half and 51 decks ago... LadyMedusa

If I remember correctly, I had two finnish Thoth decks, a pocket and a normal one. I actually started browsing through the net with the intention of finding a new deck and getting some information on how to begin my studies again. One of the ideas was to find some material for using the Thoth deck but I ended up finding other decks... So, here I am, a tarotholic with eight decks and ninth on the way... I think this time there's no cure... :)

Strange how things change. I now have 64 decks and another five or so on the way (Liber T, Gilded [mass produced] Comparative, Shadow & Light, Ancient Minchiate Eturia) and still can't seem to get enough. Each deck is a new adventure - with every new one I think I have obtained THE ultimate deck - and then along comes another!! When I first started studying Tarot I would have thought two or three decks would suffice - so glad to learn I was wrong about that!! Thea
