Is there one, if not why not?
surely a deck that features 'real' women as opposed to the Vogue/Tatler/Cosmopolitan/Anime/Fantasy variety would be less threatening to the slenderly challenged such as myself?

The first one that comes to mind for me is the World Spirit Tarot, which features men and women of all shapes, sizes and colors....
I can recall several "voluptuous" women in this deck, which makes it kind of unique and interesting....yes, REAL women!!!
I am sure there are others....but probably not many.

Another example that comes to mind is the Cosmic Tribe. It has more diversity with female figures than with male figures, however.

Tarot of Timeless Truth :D Oh, oh, the Gaian Tarot too, I think. There are threads in here about those two decks.

Earth goddess figure as the HP.
Some of the scenes based on ancient vases have full-bodied, mature and young women. Even women nursing children and motherly figures.
---------------------------------
I think the Ancient Mysteries Tarot from the Canadian designer (a photocollage deck) also has the full-bodied goddess statue in the majors and the paintings has voluptuous feminine figures.

I'd hesitate to recommend Tarot of Prague specifically, as it is not intended to be a particularly woman-oriented deck. However, I feel I have to say that the Rubenesque qualities of our World card have been remarked upon (small smile here). Well, in those times THAT is what a woman's body was ideally supposed to look like - thinness was not admired. Good for us to remember I think.
We avoided any of the "model girl" stereotypes for Tarot of Prague. Partly because I don't like them or find them interesting, and partly (and delightfully) because of course in using historical art and imagery we found that very few of the women were depicted in Kate Moss style - ideas of beauty do change. A number of the females we show (Four of Wands, Two of Swords, Chariot) have very definite biceps - as very beautiful woman should!

The Golden Tarot has women in various sizes.

although I wouldn't call them Rubenesque, the women in the Guilded Tarot at least have healthy bodies and HIPS!! As a Rubenesque+ woman myself, I'm rather pleased with the art.
