Well, I only read with one deck but I enjoy studying and playing with many decks... I love the tarot decks I have, but, I'm having a craving for a new toy and my other cards are looking forward to a new playmate...
I currently have my eye on the Russian Tarot of St. Petersburg! It's so unique compared to the ones I have. I've wanted a deck with catholic symbolism, as I attended catholic school for many years and I'm very familiar with and interested in their beliefs. The miniature artwork is also very fascinating!
Does anyone have anything to say about this deck? I'm a little hesitant to go for it. ^_^()

The symbolism in that deck is intended to be Russian Orthodox Christian, not Roman Catholic Christian.

A brief skim of St Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church's web page leads me to believe that Russian Orthodox and Catholicism is quite similar in their symbolisms and traditions, but please correct me if I'm wrong.
Maybe it would've been more appropriate to say that I am fascinated with Christian symbols, rather than specifically catholic. However, in my (very limited) experience with Christian denominations, the Catholics had the most complex and various system of iconography, especially regarding the saints. When I saw the artwork on the deck, it reminded me of the beautiful images I grew up around in Catholic school. When the post was written, describing the deck as Catholic came naturally to me, and I'm sorry if I offended anyone by describing it incorrectly.

Hi Hiomi,
All I can say about the Russian Tarot of St Petersburg is that if you buy it I'd be surprised if you weren't blown away by it. It's artistically one of the most accomplished decks ever created and there's ample depth of symbolism to make readings a rich and rewarding experience. The cards are so elaborate, I always feel my reading becomes a somewhat special occasion whenever I use it.

I have this deck, and love it :)
I wanted it for a while and was really glad to get it in a trade. It's beautiful, I doubt you'll be disappointed.
