The moment I opened the box and looked through the first five cards of the Major Arcana, I felt a tingle all over. I've never felt like this about a deck before! :O I think the deck's size has something to do with it too! They're broad, with just the right length! That and the fact that it incorporates Psychology (me ish a Psych buff, hehehe). Could the Tarot of Transformation be...the One? :O

I know exactly how you feel. I don't use my decks much lately, and I try to use them all equally, but when I actually thought of the one deck I woudln't want to give up, I thought of this one. When I first got it and was reading the book and drawing the connections, looking at the gorgeous images I thought the same thing you did. Could it be..? :D

Although I have to say...did you have a problem with the fishy smell too? O_O The cards and the book smell like fish food! :P

To get rid of the smell, try baking soda, it absorbs odors.
Just place the cards on the baking soda after that just store the
deck with nice smell incense. It works.
I have the cards. I love them, I hardly use them because
they are so fragile, I am afraid that they will bend or get out
of shape. I love the images of the cards, they are flowing
and since they have no faces, you feel that you are a part
of the cards. Enjoy your deck...

I've tried baby-powder, & this was on a thoroughly SATURATED with CIGAR-SMOKE, heavy coffee-table art-book! I sprinkled it in between *every single page* & left it for quite a while; it *did* absorb about 70% of the odor! I also used this kind of spray that is odor-absorbing, not recommended because of what the liquid does to the pages. (Mine just warped a little, but dry is best!)

Hi all,
Got this deck a couple months ago and really like the different take on traditional tarot. (The heavy use of purple is so lovely!) Not my usual style at all, and I've got to be in the right mood for it, but on those days when I want something different from tarot, this is the deck I go to. The book is really well-written and sometimes I just blindly pick a page and read it like an "answer book".
As for the ink smell. I didn't do a thing to mine, other than use them a few days in a row while the incense burns, and it disappeared on its own in a day or 2.

Oh my - such a decadent description !! })
This deck is very different from others , and very purple too- which makes it quite good in my own mind. It gives readings with a lot of what I like to call accessable depth.

Thanks for the tip! :D I'm not really turned off by the smell that much. I think it'll go away on its own, but I'll try the incense one of these days! :D

I never noticed a smell with these cards, although I have with some of my other decks. I think it just depends :D

I just got them and haven't opened them yet.
Thanks to Dead Stars recommendation.
Yes Dead Star I finally took them out of the basket at Overstock and bought them!
I'm looking forward to settling down tonight and looking through them.
I'm going to savor the moment....:)
Sounds like I'm in for a treat!

For Lark
Do you ever watch Father Ted? English, (or is it Irish?) I don't know what, but very funny. Anyway theres this woman called Mrs Doyle and her favourite saying is 'go on, go on, you know you want to ..here..
http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~cbaker01/frted/SOUNDS/CT/GOON.WAV
you can't possibly appreciate it without the rest of the programme but thought I'd link it anyway.

I received mine as a surprise!!
A friend was selling some of her decks, and I sent the money for the Hanson-Roberts deck.
Imagine my surprise when I received not only the H-R, but the breathtaking Tarot of Transformation!
I spent a good two hours lost in it, sitting in my garden.
I'm so glad so many here have and love it, as well :)

I must admit, I don't really connect with the deck (the pictures just don't do it for me), but I'll concead that it is a very well drawn deck. Kudos to everyone who enjoys reading with it.

I just want to ask a question...
How do you find the card stock?
I purchased this deck when it was first released and wound up returning it. I LOVED the deck - but the paper quality was awful. The cards were thin and jagged.... As much as I loved the deck, this drove me crazy and annoyed me since the deck was quite expensive...
Any changes?

I was going to write a post about the card stock but I forgot, so thanks for asking this question dolphinprincess.
I put off ordering this deck for a long time and one reason was the negative feedback about the card stock. (One of my big pet peeves.)
But I was very surprised at what I found when I opened the deck.
The edges are smooth with no jagged edges.
The card stock has a nice lamination on it.
The stock seems to be a little thinner than other decks but nothing like what I feared.
I was expecting paper thin.....
As a matter of fact I think it makes the deck easier to shuffle.
The cards are big 3 1/2" x 5 1/4"
I feel that if the card stock was thicker it might make them harder to shuffle.
Anyone that has the Voyager deck knows the card stock is nice and thick but it's stiff to shuffle.
Transformation shuffles very smoothly.
My deck was printed in China and the first printing was in 2002.
There is a web site www.redwheelweiser.com
You might ask if the stock has been changed since the first printing.
I think it must have been because I'm not at all disappointed with this card stock. (And I'm picky!)
Does anyone have a deck from 2002 when it was first released?
what do you think?
DP you might have just got a bum deck.....
By the way a stunning deck I'm very, very pleased with it.
It's a keeper! :D

HMMMMM... Lark.. got me thinking... If you are not disappointed, maybe my deck was just exceptionally bad and perhaps I need to give it another shot. ;)
I was so upset when I returned it - I think its such a shame when an author / artist puts so much work into a project only to have the publisher screw it up....

I got mine from Overstock.com and it was in the low $20's
So you can get it for much cheaper now than the $39.95 that's on the box.
Wow that is steep!
So not to influence you but....})

I got mine yesterday and I like it. I find the artwork not unlike the Roots of Asia for some reason. As to the card stock, yes its thin, but its not unworkable.
Oh and yes loads of dolphins :D

Good observation, Jewel-ry--- both Roots and Transformation are healing decks, with flowing, swirling, spiraling colors that bathe the mind in timeless peace. One might say they are "Being " decks. They help to wash away ego and ambition. Both are artistic in subtle, sublime ways. Watery, not fiery. Still, I very much appreciate their qualities.
