You must pre-order many of them because of popularity. The Tarot of Stars Eternal came out at a different date. These were sold out quickly. The same may happen to others. I know several places accept pre-orders. My favorite place is Tarot Garden because they seem to get the decks sooner. I pre-ordered the Gilded Tarot and it was released a month earlier. Retailers appreciate pre-orders because it helps them anticipated demand. This is a tricky operation. I am posting the new releases url for Tarot Garden. I know several people have seen it but we have many new members who may find this interesting.--Tao

Wow! The Forest Folklore Tarot has gone down on my wishlist, and my diary entry for October 1st currently reads: ORDER FOREST FOLKLORE TAROT NOOOOOW!!! I grew up near the New Forest- the place the deck takes its cues from- so I cannot wait to get it.
Thanks for the heads up!

Wow! What an exciting assortment of decks to choose from! They are all so different in their styles and personalities. I wish I had the means to buy them all. :( But I can put some on my wish list... ;)

Wow! - there is a new deck on the list "Celestial Tarot" I hadn't seen before - the pictures are a little dark but it still looks like an intriguing deck. And I am really happy to see that the "Forest" Tarot is getting close the its release date! It looks lovely!

One of the decks I notice at the Alida new releases page that Aun cites is the Tarrocchi di Maria Stuarda (Mary Stuart Tarot) published by Menghello. Judging from the Ace of Hearts and the fact that the deck's trumps have the large Roman numerals reminiscent of decks from Europe for the card-game of tarot, I'm guessing that the deck is as tarot card-game deck. This would mean that the pip cards are probably neither illustrated scenes nor Marseilles-type non-scenic pips, but are like poker or bridge playing card style pips.

I am not going to click on that link Tao, for the reason that I already have three decks; Gilded, Gay Tarot, & Tarot of the Stars Eternal, that I want, but I haven't obtained yet. I need my list of wanted decks to be manageable! Haha.

I have to agree with the general tone of this thread - new decks are appearing at a bewildering pace.
My own situation exemplifies this. MY tarot usuage has changed beyond recognition since last autumn; the four decks I use the most have only come into being since then! They are The Gilded Tarot by Cirom, Baba Prague's Tarot of Prague, RetroKat's Golden Tarot and finally my own deck which is about to be published as a limited edition.
Like others here, I can only just look at Tarot Garden's forthcoming releases with a sense of amusement as I see yet more decks that I know will have an equally significant impact on me when they arrive. Lee's Gay Tarot will be a major milestone for me (both as a gay man and also for the gay clients I read for if they choose to use it ). Also, having seen a sneak preview of the Forest Folklore Tarot I can't wait to have it in my hands either.
The Stygian Darkness Tarot will be due in the near future - when will it end!?

The excitement is to see how different artists have interpreted these 78 concepts. I do not collect these decks. I find a connection between the deck and myself. I do enjoy having a wide range of decks in order to do my readings.--Tao

There's a small footnote that mentions Dotti--it's a recreated design of a nineteenth century double-figure design. Now I may be reading it wrong, as it says "Fillipo Marito di Maria Stuarda" on the King of Diamonds an the cover card says Fabbrica Dotti Milano 1845 ca.
This means a design scheme that is similar to the 19th century di Gumppenberg Corona Ferrara (Iron Crown of Lombardy events) and "Trade Sites of Milan" with French pips, double figure majors and minors and an engraved design. French pips are spade, diamond, club and heart. Historical scenes of romance, theatrical personalities or humor seem to pervade these style of decks.
You are correct, Osvaldo Manegazzi has recolored this old design and puts it out in a handsome handmade marbled blue 'slipcase' in a 2004 edition. Mine is number 57 of 1000. These designs don't sell out very often...I was able to locate the Trade Sites of Milan and at least two Corona Ferarras within the past three years by Solloene...I don't actually recommend them for anything but collectors or perhaps game players looking for something different.

I was just notified. Egads, I just put away my favorite photo-realistic decks for a rest...it's not pastel or deep colored like the sculpture in the Tarot of Paris, not as detailed as Quest...or mystical like the Ananda... it's a very yellow-amber feel, as if you had nostalgic sepia photos of an art museum.
Wowie, it's a wishlist and smile addition for me...
