It was on my wishlist since forever so I'm very happy. I am way into the Sandman that Dave McKean created the cover art for. It's 2nd edition, secondhand, and costed about $22. My only complaint is the flimsy cardstock its printed on. To those of you who have it, how do you prevent it from wearing out? Is laminating even a feasible option?

I notice that the whole Sandman series is out in oversized trade paperbacks that contain about 3 or 4 issues of the comic series. I totalled up the price for the trades--came to about $360 or something. I love Neil Gaiman's work but have never read the Sandman series, and I'd like to get the set and work my way through it, and then get the Vertigo.
Dreaming!
I have other cards that are flimsy, and I think the best thing is not to shuffle them at all. I separate them into small piles and recombine them to mix them up.

There are 10 Sandman TPBs with about 8 to 12 issues each. Yeah, do read the whole lot. It's better than his novels. His novels are great so that's saying something. :)

Thanks. I should do that...

My memory is gone! Okay, so 10 at about $30 each and then tax--that makes sense because I know at one time I had it all worked out.
One of these days when I have some extra money I'm going to take the plunge. Plus Neil Gaiman is THE most good looking guy on the planet. I'd like to feel I was supporting him. . .
It is wonderful that you have the cards, even if it's the second printing and somewhat flimsier. I don't think the deck comes up for sale too often.

Morningstar: Congratulations on your find!!
I also find the cardstock very flimsy & to not do the deck justice.
The edges of my deck already showing wear so I rarely shuffle it. Instead, resort to cutting the deck several times over or fanning it out as is with the backs up & pick out cards individually.

MeeWah, thank you! :D Still a newbie here so I didn't know there was one. I'll endeavor to apply myself there asap.
I'm thinking of attaching acetate backing to each card so they won't wear out as easily and I can still see the design at the back but the gluing part sounds tricky.
