Hi to All,
I have just had a call from my local New Age Shop.
The Morgan Greer Deck that I ordered last week has just arrived. I am going straight from work to collect it.
I am so excited about getting it and getting to know it.
Can anyone please tell me how to cure my addiction to Tarot???!
Now I have the Morgan Greer, I think I'll just get to know the decks I have - well that's the plan anyway!
I have:
Original RWS
Pocket Rider
Spiral
Osho Zen
Morgan Greer (in about an hour!)
Take care,
Regards,
Ian

Welcome to the forums, Ian, and congrads on your new addition to the family!
There are lots of great threads on the Morgan Greer; maybe you'll want to do a little digging once you've got your new baby home.

You'll love it, I know you will (well I hope you will). It's a wonderful deck - very retro '70s-ish feel to it.
I love the borderless cards, the way the faces are so well drawn, the strong yet muted colours.
You'll have to post and tell us what you think - some of the cards are just lovely; 3 of Cups, The Lovers, The Moon, 5 of Pentacles are some of my favorites.
As for your tarot addiction - I think you have the right idea - get to know the decks you have, that would be my advice.
Congratulations on your new deck :)
Love
Sulis xx

Thanks for the positive comments!
Sulis- I see you are from Nottingham. Are you off to the Goose Fair?! I have been going every year for the last 7 years- LOVE IT!
I going to look out for the Tarot Readers on Noel Street.
Take care,
Regards,
Ian

I also have the Morgan Greer and I just love it! It is the only deck I use now. The pictures online do not do it justice. The cards are really beautiful once you see them "in person". My favorite card in this deck is the Queen of Swords. Just something about it. I hope you enjoy this deck as much as I have.

Well I have got it home!
I almost didn't want to unwrap it- just the anticipation. I sat there for a couple of minutes just holding the celophane-wrapped box. Then I carefully opened it...
I wasn't dissapointed. The cards are wonderful. The colours are very vibrant. The images are large and bold, but with more than enough detail. The lack of borders feel so right. As does the lack of wording on the suit cards.
My little Tarot family feels complete (for now):-
Original RWS
Pocket RWS
Spiral
Osho Zen
Morgan Greer
I can't see myself buying any more decks for a while- I would rather use the ones I have than just have more sitting there for the sake of it.
Regards,
Ian

Sorry, The Goose Fair's not for me. I think I've only been twice in the 20 years I've been in Nottingham. MY son goes (he's 14) and I think this year we may have to give in and take Indi my daughter who's 5 as she is pestering to go already :)
You won't recognise Noel Street this year - Nottingham has a new tram system and there is a tram station half way up Noel St now so I think the stalls will have been moved. You wouldn't believe the traffic chaos the Goose Fair causes ;)
Back to tarot :) - I knew you'd like the Morgan Greer deck. Although it's technically a RWS clone I still think it has new things to offer.
Paperdoll - The Queen of Swords is beautiful isn't she? All those roses and pearls. I think she's my favorite court in this deck and not a card I usually like that much.
Love
