Alright, years ago I received a tarot deck as a present. Recently, I lost them. Temporarily, as I know they have to be *somewhere* in the house and I know no one that would want to steal them. I have no idea what they're called, and when I looked through the entire list of decks on this site AND hundreds on another site I could not find any even remotely resembling mine. Mine are kind of art-y modern looking ones. All the same pictures as traditional tarot cards, but in a very simple coffee-house kind of art (like people's faces aren't very detailed and the bodies sketchily drawn), and the colors are lovely and vivid without being overbearing. The ace of cups is a gold cup with a heart on it being held in the palm of a badly drawn hand surrounded by waves of artily-drawn chunky water. It isn't a "fake" or improper tarot deck, all the suits and cards are accounted for (this is the only reason I could see it not being listed anywhere, but there's nothing improper about it at all).
Don't ask me why, but I am on a quest to find out their name. I think that once I do, for some reason I'll find them. And it's driving me crazy that I can't find them listed anywhere as it makes them more important to find. They were brand new when given to me, and most likely just bought at a bookstore like Chapters. Description: they came with a small purple book with, if memory serves me, the star card pictured on the front. The back of the cards and the box that holds the deck has crudely-drawn vines with a couple pink flowers at each end. If anyone has even remotely heard of anything like this any information is helpful. Please don't ask me why this is important for me to discover, I really have no clue. Maybe because I can't accept that it's simply nowhere on here or any other tarot site.
Thank you everyone so much!

After reading a post of someone saying they kept buying cards from ebay I thought I'd see if mine were on there, and they ARE. I couldn't remember the name because they have no name, on the book it's just called "Tarot", and I made a mistake, there is just one pink flower on the back of the cards not 2. Still very sad though because I don't want to replace mine, I just want to find them *cry*

I hope you find them, Hoist_that_rag. Did you find out who the author is, perhaps? By your description, I'm interested to see what they look like now, too.

Is it the deck and book set by Jonathan Dee, I think the book might mention who painted the deck? I have this one too - I can't find the book but I think the publishers are Parragon. Its a set that does tend to turn up on Ebay often, usually very overpriced. :)
Edited:-
Just looked on Ebay - the deck is by Shirley Barker.

I would set aside a bit of time to meditate on it. Light a purple candle (because you associate it with the deck) and ask your guide to help you find them. Imagine yourself shuffling the cards, dealing them and doing a mini reading of "where are you?" :)
Do you have a box of books somewhere that are from a move? Maybe in a closet or under a bed.. maybe an attic? I see them in a pile of books, maybe other trinkets in an enclosed space. I may just be projecting my own house on your cards, but in *my* house, I see them in a closed box beside or behind a bookshelf in the office.
The B&N deck does sound like the one you're describing. http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?userid=pT8Emof9Mm&isbn=076071004X&itm=1

If you can't find the original name of the artist you might want to email Jeannette over at The Tarot Garden and ask her if she 's familiar with the deck. A good descripton of the card size, color, back image, and borders, any recognisable font styles, and some image descriptions would narrow down the field considerably for her.
