$30 for BN, what to buy?

Ok, not too far back I got $30 worth of gift certificates to Barnes and Noble. Well, I haven't seen any book worth buying, so I started wondering about using the money in a tarot-related way. My question is: What should I buy? But the catch is, it has to be available at Barnes and Noble's website. I'd highly appreciate any help I can get.

Any suggestions?

I just put tarot into the book search and got 1779 hits. (That's decks and books.)

Do you have a wish list?

You could buy another Gift Certificate for a friend

If you like the deck, the Tarot to Go with a Hanson Roberts mini is a good deal, and available from them.

A new deck/book set would be great, but what are you looking for and what do you already have? Maybe Gilded, or save it for Druidcraft, when it comes out? Depends on your style and wish list!

Read the fine print on the back of your card, some gift cards have expiration dates on them.

Buy something you won't get for Christmas :D

At the moment my suggestion would be the Gilded Tarot. Gorgeous artwork.
Maybe if we knew your experience level, what you like and don't like, we could help more.
Wish I had $30 to spend too!

I would say too - something from your wishlist.

What kind of decks are you into? If Rider Waite, Joan Bunnings' book 'Learning the Tarot' based on lessons from her website is a good buy. I'm finding it really useful. But for $30, you might be able to get some nice decks. :)

You can sort the B&N search by price or publication date so I would sort first by cheapest and see if they have anything that you have wanted that is really marked down. They try sorting it by publication date and see what they have that is just comming out that strikes your fancy.

Here's my chance to try out the dream job I was mentioning in a previous thread. A matchmaking service for Tarot lovers.

I put your data and the data of thousands of potential partners into the super computer and here were the results:

Art Nouveau Tarot (US Games)
Tarot Art Nouveau (Lo Scarebeo)
Pythagorean Tarot
Sacred Geometry Oracle
Crop Circle Cards (the computer might have a bug)
Halloween Tarot
Tarot of Marseilles (someone else's super computer can tell you which one)
Tarot of Paris

Remember, you can still by used and out of print at Barnes & Noble's website. I think you get more for your money that way.

Peace,
April

The super computer was apparently not finished processing the data and just spit out two more.

Fantastical Tarot
Tarot of the Imagination

Good luck,
April
